When you’re having a pre-game with the TV on, don’t you wish there was a dedicated dance music channel? If you have DirecTV, your wish is coming true. EDMTV is launching to coincide with Miami Music Week on March 14. The channel will feature scripted shows, documentaries, news, event coverage, and even 3D festival streaming.

The channel’s found Matt Bolton said the following about the channel:
“The music is just the start. The people, the places, the deals, the real stories that are alive in the scene is what we’re after. We want to incubate, stimulate and dedicate ourselves to this task. It really is an honor to become the first network ever to do content that is specific to electronic music and the culture it nourishes.”

EDM fans will soon have even more ways to consume dance music content. Stay tuned for EDMTV’s launch next week!

"EDM fans will soon have even more ways to consume dance music content"

wouldn’t it be more productive if they gained more knowledge about EDM production and insight into what it is they are hearing and how those sounds are produced.

I suppose if you have a electronically uneducated listener their far likely to "consume" anything that someone/business model tells them  is good (as in of high quality with some originality)

By the way.A person can not consume music. That's very basic biology.

It would seem by the titles and or structures of many of the tracks that Popular electronic music culture is lost in the noise.A popular culture  created by a commercial model that's primary object is to sell(spoon feed comparably poor quality ,fast, cheaply processed  music to the masses).

Like processed food with too much sugar. They consume without much regard or understanding about the biological impact it has on them. Quite often because the music is selling idealogical nonsense with very little substance (evidence base) .

Good news is that there is alot of  original/fresh music being produced by non "mainstream" artists that are not under any financial pressure to sell to the mass market media circus.
Music is physics brought to life with biology.
