Exactly and it shows that the US is not as great as it thinks it is, with the exception of a few great festivals and clubs it has a piss poor scene filled with champagne laden wannabe commercial clubs...er no thanks

I have been once and would never go again, to much attitude...as far as clubs in the US, you still get absolute twats even at underground events....Bedrock @ Cameo springs to mind... I only cherry pick  events myself having been to Bedrock twice this year and, R20 birthday and Sashas 8 hour marathon in the UK (thankfully no twats seen or experienced ), but if I lived in the not so great US and A, I wouldn't honestly bother at all as it comes across to me as a souless experience, never to be repeated again

raves are for kids, as it is well known. that is why get-in age is 14. most raves don't even sell alcohol. raves are good to check out a bunch of artists simultaneously. as well as check out numerous crafty dancers all over the place. you don't see such amazing performances in clubs, and i mean acts by ravers, not the dj support team or whatever.. raves, esp in usa, are full of either rolling out of their minds kids, or completely sober young adults, who has done so mich e in the past, they don't roll anymore and dance without drugs, well, maybe weed, no, definitely weed! =)

clubs are different.. drinks and hooking up, that is what happens in usa clubs, at least in chicago. that's why i rarely go.. i like rave atmosphere better..

ps. i am russian. i live in chicago. so i am not an shortsighted american. and my opinion counts!

the clubs everywhere are too VIP oriented with bottle service...

raves are better because its all about the music...
