EDC is great. it's full of bs dubstep and stuff, but it has miltiple stages, so you can most likely avoid the shit you don't like completely.. =)

and in general, american festivals have too much mainstream shit from europe... WTF???

Mate theres a lot of shite in there it amazes me how much  as well... they should just have  tent for Hawtin, Digweed, Umek, Josh Wink,  Gerber, Dubfire, G & D & carl cox ... all the rest i have never heard of...or require the  :chop: &  :shoot2:
slash ProDanceCulture on June 7th, 2012 / post 48393
hehe, i know it all looks ridiculous... i too haven't heard of half of the names, even that i pride myself on being aware of all the new developments, since they all come through tribalmixes, i still can't look at this list without wondering exactly why are all these unknown names included...

but as you've properly realized, this is a very big event for tribalmixes and similar sites, there will be heavy traffic in next couple of weeks thanks to EDC and Sirius XM, and proper advertising and marketing by Insomniac, we can only hope that people who come for the EDC 2012 Las Vegas sets will also pay attention to the rest of quality material we have here...

ps. look at DEMF 2012 "Movement Festival".. such a nice festival, mostly techno and minimal and tech house there, all about Detroit and proper house/techno music.. and where is it? where are all the sets from the place? where are all the excited fans relieving their sex-built-up-pressure onto the sets of techno monsters? there are none! and nothing to relieve oneself at or relive the weekend with, cause fuckers just made sure nothing was broadcasted or somehow pirated out of their hands.. PAXAHAU are allright, the organizers, i mean, they might have their own agenda, saying "sets were recorded, if allowed by djs, they are being mastered and will be released at some point".. well, by the time they do - everyone has happily forgotten about DEMF until next spring.. while EDC and other *electric* and *wonderland* festivals done by Insomniac have huge coverage, special announcements on SiriusXM about the coming broadcasts, people are encouraged to tune in if they cannot attend in person.. it's all about money, of course, but at least they are really doing alot in the means of pushing festivals back into the masses, and thus pushing masses back to attend festivals. i can't say lineups make me happy, this next one coming up - Electric Forest Festival - i can't look at its lineup without tears, the only dj i'd see there is Richie Hawtin, and he must be money-hungry these days to agree to play somewhere in michigan among all these dubsteppers, has no respect to his own image, and i bet people will soon stop respecting him because of that too, - but Insomniac and their peers do know how to put up a good show..

munkynstar Moderator on June 7th, 2012 / post 48395
I'm shocked at Hawtin for playing a such a sub standard festival... clearly they have no original ideas whatsoever.. electric forest, what a load of bollox mate, I'll stick  to what I know and like...  At least the release page is the right place for it, I don't even look there at all, so perfect mate... all the interested parties can get them from there and relive the event (never heard of DJs)

well, for the reasons of /releases being completely visit-less, and until it becomes a prominent part of tribalmixes, until people will know where to look for certain things, i've decided festivals are gonna be shared onto the main torrents page. EDC New York has shown that majority of people do not understand how to find things on the site, or do not want to look for them, unless they are served those things right up their mouths... so discernible festivals will be shared onto main torrents page for at least until the end of the summer. they will not create any disturbances, or at least i think they won't, cause festivals don't happen so often and if they do, chances are - there's no broadcast, so...

all in all, scene-released festival recordings this summer are auto-shared onto main torrents page under uploader username festivals.

so this weekend we're having quite a few new uploads... =)

Aye indeed mate, people I have found are generally lazy in all aspects online and want to be spoon fed info...however it serves a purpose as you have said. I'm sure they will and would complain either way!!!  :-D

last day of EDC is here.. it sucks that saturday's cosmicMeadow stage wasn't broadcasted at all, the great djs Paco Osuna, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Magda, Josh Wink, Seth Troxler weren't included into the airing on sirius, or refused to be aired, who knows now...

from friday, we actually got 3 of the closing sets: Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and Fedde le Grand, thanks to siriusXM, who somehow got it all recorded... although quite worthless sets...

saturday, so far from what has surfaced on the net, we only have 1 closing set - from W&W. while there were much better closing acts, this one was aired...

so today we got a few wonderful names, the 4 closing acts that could be aired are: Flux Pavilion, Aly & Fila, Danny Tenaglia, and Funkagenda.. who thinks what about airing? i doubt tenaglia will allow his set to be aired, he is really anal about his sets recorded and shared, he really gets off on that... that's why we have no sets from him - he doesn't allow recordings and promises to destroy clubs if they do record.. i think Aly & Fila will be aired, as part of ASOT 550, and then one of the 2 left will also be aired.. dunno which.. prolly Flux Pavilion.. although i don't care for either one..
