First IDC 2008 ELEVEN Teams
if allowed by 3-2-1 rule, more CAN join till Jan 21st!! below..
  • as noticed, there's a tiny bit of competition in some of the countries, this is where PR comes in, as in Popularity Rating, the higher it is the better tm users supposedly know and like the members of the team, calculated as a sum of each of the 5 member's personal PR in [e]-browser. actual PR on IDC pages may be bigger.. [Romania] Electronic Pimps (4888) - DJ Edi, SilentRaver, The Last Sequence, Dj Tili, Viktor Nagual.
  • [Romania] House Republic (133) - Mike B, DJ M.U.W.S., DJ LeCCa, Raul Roquez, Dj Monome.
  • [Egypt] Egypt 1 (9774) - Omar Samir, Tamer Fouda, Adham Zahran, Hisham Zahran, Mohamed Ragab.
  • [Egypt] Egyptian Grooves (5436) - Hady Tarek, Mostafa Emad, Pro-Moe, DJ Mancy, Dj Resemo.
  • [Egypt] Egyptian Beat Enforcers (1860) - Remy S, Amir Sharara, Wael Alaa, Omar Hazem, DJ Cheetos.
  • [Spain] Spanish Team (3872) - DJ Fitax, DJ Canedo, Alain.SSymbiotiK, Santi.SSymbiotiK, Sunnteck.
  • [Russia] Team A (3770) - Abstract Vision, Python, DiKomm, Dj NaDi, DJ Rinspeed.
  • [Hungary] Elektro Mania (4130) - Snake Sedrick, Naga, Dj Bullet, J-Smith, Gabriel A Dawn.
  • [Hungary] Sound Pressure (1930) - Skitish, Retroid, dj moT, Style Clash, Downkill
  • [Portugal] Brothers in Law (2221) - Dj Migas, 2tan, Kenny aka JP, DJ Bena, Dj Naxo.
  • [Bulgaria] Renesanz (9603) - UsualSuspectBr0, Keekos, DJ JackRock, Dj Balthazar, DirtYtribe.
2 more teams for Bulgaria are missing their 5th members. We're all are very sorry about 3 teams that will not be allowed to participate, exactly Egyptian pharaohs curse and Sharmania, and Hungarian Hungary New Wave, they were outnumbered by 3-2-1 rule and PR priority... just to summarize the affection of the 3-2-1 rule, here's a quick summary of the-Country-business...
  • Romania, Egypt, Portugal cannot enter any more teams! Bulgaria can enter 2 more teams, Argentina can still use all 3.., Spain & Russia can still put up 1 more team each.

what happens to contestants who don't join a team?
    slash ProDanceCulture on January 14th, 2008 / post 23564
"contestant" status by itself means nothing, it's just a step between "user" and "member of some IDC team"..

it's really disappointing elementing my team from particpating i putted alot of hpe in the competion  :-/
as well as putting alot of effort preparing 4 it
and i think this won't allow any new dj's ever to particpate in such competion as it always will be the highist PR.....
i was happy at 1st when i knew th there's no limited teams as the best team would win it... that would really show some more talents and it wouldn't harm the competion as the more is the better...
but nyway hpe every thing go fine n let the best team win....

one thing you are forgetting, my friend... JUDGES. quite a few people have committed to do this job, which will involve HUGE time spending... and given unlimited teams, Egypt would make at least 6-7 teams. there's 5 anyway...

ps. don't say things you have no idea about. next year there will be different set rules, they will NOT depend on the Popularity Rating, neither the country of origin.

pps. i'm trying to accommodate as many countries/teams/djs as possible. some will be pleased. and there's no escape from the opposite - there will be frustrated people, upset djs and mad team captains. can't do nothing about it... and really don't wanna waste my nerves arguing...

yea i got mad from it i knew thts it hard enugh to do some thing like that and preparing for it in your own so i really know how hard u work to make it better but i just wanted to show my opinion bout it..
and if i didn't particpate this year it's no problem there's always a nxt one...
nd i will be 100% supporting this competion as it's all bout the music so if u had any problem with judges or listeners  i would b glad to offer my help....

this is the soul which is needed for this competition and it's really disappointing that there is no Argentinian team cause they were number one and I was looking forward to see some one defending their cup :-P, but I'm happy to see all this teams till now and wish them all the best , and I think that every one knows that it's really hard competition

    :-O  :-O  no Argentina  :-O  :-O

its a shame, being the best means defeating the best.
anyway on another note, i have a question. are we to download the contestants mixes from the ftp's linked on the homepage? or is there some other way?

it's past the official mp3 submission deadline, but we're still missing 9 mp3s from 9 different djs, who haven't been successful in passing them to us yet, but they are trying, so we're very sorry on this slight delay, but this is to be dealt with during next 3 days only, given following in mind...

time for mp3 submissions is extended. a little. you have 24 hours from NOW, given that you i see all 5 mp3s from your team - you pass ok, otherwise each day after that for up to 2 days/48hrs more, if 5 mixes aren't yet present, a penalty of 5% of the FINAL TEAM SCORE will be applied towards your team, for each day of lateness, thus up to 10% can be taken off  your team's score for your late submission. if after that 5 mp3 files are yet not there, your team will be dropped from the contest.

and again, everyone was waiting for the torrent files already, so they will be released tomorrow during the day (it's midnight here now), then good given we have 4 more complete torrents by next midnight - we share them also (sorry, forgot to say, 9 missing mp3 are jeopardizing 4 teams at once. only 9 teams are "complete" and ready ) asap, and hope never happens, but anyways fined and penalties will be applied to those teams yet delaying... 3 more days from this very point - and january 29th, 6am GMT00 incomplete teams will be dropped from the contest.

don't know why can't we stick to the schedules, every one in the website knows that all mp3s must be up at the 25th is it hard to stick to deadlines    :hmm:
