Just wanted to see if anyone knows of a program that'll do it or an easier way to sort out your music files. I have mine under a music foldeer and under that (trance,dnb,breaks,miscellaneous,house-tribal,etc....)  If anyone has better and easier ideas let me know thanks.

i organize my downloads by download date, my rips by rip date, when my 200GB hdd space overfills once every couple of months, i burn 20-30 dvds at one shot, also marking them with months' names  so that when i need something, i'll look up here when it was posted and easy find it by file-dates if on hdd or by correctly marked dvds.. i have about 200 dvds already... basically i only use them to reseed something if noone else does... but lately noone wants any reseeds pretty much...

slash yours is a really good idea but until i hit tigerdirect.com up for some hd's im gonna go with the first response it seems better than sorting by genres. thanks

dvds + whereisit. noone use it? it's a great software for cataloging disks/files... it stores a lot of data about files (mp3: id3,id3v2,bitrate, etc, images: THUMBNAILS, sizes, format), so it makes easy for me finding almost anything...
