what happened? if sound card is burnt, you still probably have built-in soundcard, no?

i assume it's my sound card (or maybe even hardware failure ),when i go to play a music file no matter what music player it is , the music is in slow mo, what makes matters worse is i can't click on anything not even my start button when i ve got media player on because it crashes my computer .  , i 've reinstalled the drivers , scan disk found no errors, i opened up the case to see if it needed a clean inside but it wasn't too dusty , so it's not looking good .
