no way.. where did you get this info?

actually many djs are saying in their live radio shows to vote for them in some upcoming polls. only digweed is calling to everyone to at least take part in those polls.

Pals, u forgot bout Rampling!!!
As Pete Tong said in his last EM of 2005 (ft.Rampling) - Danny was the best dj for two decades. This EM was the last played gig for Rampling. He's goin out! )))
Gatzvip V.I.P. on December 29th, 2005 / post 906
yes Rampling set was good however the question was for 2005 - in my case i need not see enough sets from him to put him in the top 10.

you're very right! i've noticed my topten includes few names that i've found out about this year, like lolitas or hawtin..

although, rampling's essential was really nice!

hey guys,
heres my top 10, based on what ive seen and heard and my own personal taste.

1. John Digweed - kiss 100 shows are amazing - and seeing him live- the only dj to take the energy up a level with every next song and never lose the crowd!!

2. Danny Howells - seeing him this year - amazing!!

3. Superpitcher - rocked the nite in melbourne!!

4. Sasha - was usually my number one but to me has lost the experience that goes with his name ever since hes ditched the decks for ableton - he keeps the party going but doesnt freak me out as much anymore - listen to his GU ibiza cd!!! although his fundacion cd is amazing

5. Desyn Masiello - kiss100 mixes rocked!! was good live too - ...

6. Nick Warren - enough said!

7.  Gavin Keitel - aussie dj who is absolutely on the ball - check out his cd elektrik on BALANCE

8.  Carl Craig - amazing techno/tech-house...pioneer.

9.  James Zabiela

10.  Pete Tong - only kidding!!! wow thats a joke no one will laugh at!!!
but really - my number 10 would have to be Nic Fanciulli - his renaissance cd rocks and the way he played  in melbourne with zabiela! wow - most soulful driving melodies

The program has brought dj'ing to a new and f@cking amazing level.  Sasha, and I have seen and herd him use it, mixes amazing sets with the program.  The mix is always more consistent i.e. single samples and tracks being strung throught the whole mix.  He also makes remixes as he is dj'ing.  The man helped design abelton and he is IMHO the best at using the program.  Point being that sets are, I dare say better, But on a whole new level.

First of all. everyone has his thoughts and point of view and this is a gift from god, or we were all to be just one copy!!

for myself I totally agree that PVD is the best DJ in the world not only in 2005 but since 1999 he is the best ... but I believe that we must split genres meaning trance is different from house, maybe trance,techno,electro is one category and house, tribal, hard house, prog is another ... so my top 10 in each :

=====
Trance
=====
1:: Paul Van Dyk
2:: Armin Van Buuren
3:: Gabriel & Dresden
4:: Above & Beyond
5:: Tiesto
6:: Matt Darey
7:: Kyau & albert
8:: System F
9:: Max Graham
10:: Misja Helsloot

=====
House
=====
1:: Danny Rampling
2:: Chus & Ceballos
3:: Nick Warren
4:: Hernan Cattaneo
5:: Deep Dish
6:: Sander Klienenberg
7:: Victor Calderone
8:: John Creamer
9:: John Digweed
10:: Steve Lawler  (if I did this rank 2 years ago, this guy would be number 1 or 2)
