Seriously, my own ideas surprise me. I've really started to listen to the comps after GU007. I'm having so much fun revisiting them and that is what I encourage you all to do weekly. Dust off the bloody GU comps and revisit them
Oh slash, I encourage you to type your GU021 and save it into a word document. Then when GU021 comes along, you can just copy and paste....GU021 should be great....actually all the ones till GU025 are great.
I've listened to one CD on the way to work and one CD on the way home for the last 3 days and it shows that Digweed just keeps the groove going. CD 1 is the groovier of the two but CD 2 is more peaktime. Love the Useless track after the Cevin Fisher track. I always enjoyed the Sputnik and Diablo tracks but now that I listened to it for a few days...the mixes themselves really stand alone. My only problem is the starting track because Seaman used it in GU012 and personally I hate repeat opening tracks. CD 1 really just hammers the groove into you, he just manages to build and build while add melody but not losing the groove
Next up, as you know. One of my fave GU - Emerson in Uruguay....

Andy, this compilation didn't really do it for me, i won't say i was disappointed, but it isn't earth shaking like most of the GU albums, i did expect more.
Take nothing away from the compilation it is ground breaking and there are pieces of it that have been mixed together with great skill, but to me listening to it it just doesn't flow.
You have me on board my collection of GU has been dusted off and will be played.... Although i played most of them to death as they were released that a simple look at the tracklist and i remember what was good and what wasn't. Anyhow Jody Wisternoff - Intensified - 2009 Yearpack will keep me bust for today
Cheers mate, look forward to hearing about Darren Emerson
