Ya believe it or not the defunct company Digital Equipment and Xerox were the most preeminent companies at the vanguard of computer research in the sixties and seventies. But the genius of the two Steves was there vision to bring these innovations to mass application and it worked……but too bad mac was relegated to the niche product market after windows 3.1 exploded onto the market….No I’m not that old but my cousin is a "computer engineer" who graduated in the 80’s from MIT lol

No it isn't the end of windows.

at this time, Xerox and Apple were having a very tight and close relationship and most of the form members of Apple were from Xerox besides that the Macintosh which we see its picture above was the first GUI to hit the home & business market

it will be for the first few months...

lol apparently they are coming along a little bit.. its what.. almost 2 and a half months... since release.. i got it today.. and the ONLY thing i see a drain on so far.. (remember just got it today...
) is the memory use.. its a RAM hog!... other than that.. yes Windows Live Messenger didnt work at first, but a quick upgrade of Adobe Flash Player on INTERNET EXPLORER (which i hate!) took care of the problem... we will see.. i guess i will post more info on my "lovely" experiences with VISTA!
hahahahahahhaahahhaa

hehe, it hasn't solved my msn problems... memory use... check how much it caches.. THAT takes up a lot of ram, but it's good, it makes your system faster, more responsive. none of my linux boxes has more than 20-24M free ram, although each of them has 4g total memory... guess, what uses a lot of ram... CACHE... so it's not vista's own. when some software/request come, which require a lot of ram, cache will be freed, that way, you won't run out of ram. recently i've read a comparsion on the responsiveness and speed of vista and xp, vista is a little bit slower now, but hopefully it will get faster soon... my problem is, that asus still hasn't released their utility called power4gear, which enhances battery life...
and the funniest part... on my university, they use a software called ETR, which we can use to apply for courses/exams, etc... this software runs on microsoft's own, .NET platform, on windows servers, and it works perfectly in ie6/7/ff/opera on windows xp. in ie7 (but just in the vista version) it displays absolutely incorrectly, displays the contents of the image files instead of displaying images, etc... in firefox, it works perfectly, under vista too

well im back on xp for a lil bit... i have to wait until they get some more bugs worked out... apparently there was a glitch, that conflicted with my video card... and no matter what i did... the screen would go black after about 2 mins of a boot up.. and i could not find a work around with it.. vista drivers and all for my card still didnt help.. you know... ATI has enough internal driver problems as it is.. let alone adding a new O/S to the picture!
Oh and on another note... during this little screen "blackout" vista was "organizing" my hd.. and well to make a long story short... i lost some files

that's so funny .. i have a 1.25g RAM and right now i'm running safari+mail+quicktime+photoshop+transmission+acrobat+profcast .. and my free memory is 716MB

this should be virtual mem, not RAM and my free memory is 716MB

maybe they're running, but you haven't used them for a while, that way they're swapped out to virtual memory 8)

I still find using Windows a lot easier than Linux. I tried linux for a few mths. I could'nt get around having to type in commands in the command window with all the commands that you have to know....it was much too complicated for me having to know all the different commands to enable a function or something else similar to that. I find that point and click is much easier.
Sorry but I think it was the 2 Steves who in 1984 introduced a self-contained computer and the revolutionary concept of desktop publishing called WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), the Impetus that kicked off the whole POINT AND CLICK shabang. Including an indispensable device called the mouse(introduced it to the masses but didn't invent it)...cant quite remember what it was called oh ya the MAC a definite UBERMACHINE.
