{quoted:slash} do you want me to tell you how many people have downloaded EVERY IDC torrent so far? i will not spend these 15 minutes on finding it out through the database, but i will tell you, with the minimum 35 people downloaded 1 of the torrents, it means that there can be NO MORE than 35 people (right now), who have downloaded ALL torrents. we're not even talking about listening to the music - just downloading. and now, let's assume the maximum - 35 people have each of the 8 torrents. do you want to run a main page poll FOR EVERYONE, and have them choose BEST IDC-10 team without even hearing the music??? usually we get maybe 1000 votes in a poll during 1 month. let's say there will be 100 people who got EVERY idc torrent. so you'd like to see the results of the poll, where only 10% of the people at least know what music was in IDC??? god damn it, stop crying, all of you! be content with your damn position. you have 9 people tell you what they thought about your music. can you get 9 comments on your fresh torrents? only people who break 9-10 comments on every torrent are Biontek and Nubian, and they don't get that many comments so ofter, and each of those comments would be "great music, you rock", and that's it!!!!! and here you get 9 different people with god damn different tastes in music, and when they truthfully tell you how they liked your mix, you go crying that noone loves you. have a bit of dignity. i am NOT telling this all to SPR right now, i'm talking to EVERY DJ in IDC 2010. every year for the last 4 years i've had my december, january and february filled with IDC. and as soon as results are published - i get tons of protests, i get personal messages asking why their sets are rated so low, i get forum posts saying judges suck ass and don't know what they are doing, i get wonderful suggestions on how to improve this contest of mine, i get people faking their nationality just to get into competition (like one year a team from Canada consisted of 4 Egyptians), and then they tell me i failed their expectations. {quoted:revelation} i just want to get done with this unrewarding deal and forget about it. this time - forever.[/quote] i wouldn't bother with the whole idc thing slash ppl here just dont seem to appreciate the effort being put behind this competition from the staff and the judges, all they do is bitch and moan about the result as you said...70% of the djs on here think there gods gift to the world when they've never even played in a club... well guess what if 80% of the judges dont like your set then it must of really sucked

some ppl really ruined the whole concept of the idc this year by acting like a bunch of whiney $%#?s ...ohh my set was good how didnt i win..oh the vote rate on our torrent is too low ,someone must not like us so they did it on purpose ...u ppl seriously need to grow up unless the idc is the highlight and the biggest achievement of your dj career then shut the hell up and stop complaining ..ok kids ?? you know exactly who you are

reading some comments i really think some ppl really need to grow up ..who cares if u didnt win ? ..if this comp really bothers everyone and the result is ppl bithcing in the shoutbox/forum and on torrent comments of how they should of won maybe we should just save slash and the admins all the trouble and stop this whole idc tradition .. 

well thats the diffrence between a great dj and an average dj ..u defo need to have some musical knowledge in order to be unique 

think they mean ppl arent going crazy with comments and stuff like that every year ..usually the second the torrents are up u can see how much more active the site is ...this year its just too much torrents and no one really seems to care as much as the previous years ...thats why i always liked the country thing always fueled by more rivalry and having all the supporters of each country supporting their team was always nice ..and thanx to slash and all the judges for their hard work as usual :)
