hmm, yes. i acknowledge the quality of this piece of shite minimal track that is scarring my soul.

what a torrent... 900 snatches in first 11 days of life... all these 11 days it's been the most active torrent, only been interrupted by deep dish set for a few hours.. that's something... =)

Yes i have to agree with you guys that it is harder to find that sound that we used to love all those many years ago, but (as many of you have highlighted) music is constantly changing very similar to fashion in the sense that every couple of years trends change....

The current trend is minimal and you can be guaranteed that a large majority of dj's will be influenced by this genre. The reason for this is because its a trend that starts with producers, and dj's like Sasha are always trying to find the best music going around to play out. Even though we might not love it, i think we should try and make an effort to at least aknowledge quality music when we hear it....

The first time i heard Sasha playing minimal was back when he did Unveils Fundacion Party and you can see from the essential mix how much he has immersed himself with this minimal stuff. The essential mix is just bloody amazing, the whole two hours is so tight and its such a piece of art from the opening to end, where he uses only the best songs to take us on such a magical journey.

Even though that i can't say that i love this type of music i can say that this whole thing is a masterpiece and deserves every compliment it gets

i agree, why does everyone pine over sashas old style, get a grip people he has moved on and evolved his taste in music, you try playin the same style of music every night of the week for 10+ years and i bet you would get bored of it too... at least he is trying something different...

wasn't steve lawler the biggest moaned about style-changer? so... we got over it... now sasha - we're gonna get over it... but god damn it, if SHARAM's essential mix turns out to be minimal house - i'll quit... =)

i dont agree.. when u dont like sasha or digweeds new style then dont listen to them.. u always have to say that they suck nowadays..  electronic music is changin.. the dance scene is changin.. there are alot of djs who play pure prog and pure tribe.others are changin theyr style

I agree....dance music is constantly changing and some dj's (sasha and digweed) change with it. Now...personally I dont like a lot of Sasha's newer stuff. He's still one of my favorite dj's of all time but some of his mixes lately fall short. Now Digweed on the other hand...this guy BLOWS ME AWAY! Yeah his sound has changed a bit in the past few years but so what?! The guy is still making SICK SICK mixes and I love the new "tech-house" sound that he's been spinning. I dont understand why the guy commented on Hernan spinning minimal? Every mix I've heard from that guy lately has been straight up progressive! If you want an examply of minimal then go listen to James Holden.  ;-)
