OFFICIAL :: NEW WEBSITE DESIGN

hi and welcome to new tribalmixes!

redesigned with 2018 in mind, the website is now mobile friendly and super mega fast.  like lightning fast.. well, at least for me it is.

and so.. here's the new design. it's responsive, it'll change layout depending on your screen width. it's mobile first, although not fully mobile, because images are not yet optimized and downsized for mobile.. eventually..

right now about 30% of the site is remade into new design, although whole site is of course functional. only some pages will look ugly, un-aligned, messed up and very disarrayed. although again technically most pages are remade, because torrent details and browse are remade, and those represent majority of indexable pages.. in any case, some of the inside stuff is still going to be old.. and ugly, not that old CSS is not used anymore.. but i will get to everything eventually.. right now lots of pages are old in new setup, so they are messed up. awards page is a great example. it's serviceable, but doesn't look good.. but it will. as will the rest of the stuff. or at least "good" in my opinion.. hehe..

there will be only 1 skin for now. no dark skin. let me first finish the design, then i will remake the dark skin. not going to keep adding stuff to 2 skins as i edit pages...

i would like to see bug reports, but for obvious bugs, of course. if something is not looking right because it's still not remade - please, do not bother reporting that. only new redesigned pages should be tested now for bugs, ok? nice..

well, enjoy! or not! i know i can never satisfy everyone..

obviously, forums are not remade yet.. so bear with me there...

oh yeah, the main reason for this unfinished release is that there's been no new users for almost a month thanks to captcha upgrade and old captcha not working.. so now new users can signup again.

in any case, please, remember the main benefit of https: when you visit a https-enabled site, while there's an indication (at your ISP) that you visited this site, there's no log or way to know of what you've done there or anything like that... except of course for site's own access logs.. basically your ISP will not know what you're doing on tribalmixes.com....

First, congratulations on the initial launch...this is a big win.

I would like to have an option for the initial landing page to be somewhat similar to the old page, where every is accessible without a side menu. Maybe collapsible headings for new torrent, release and top x days?

I love the bookmark feature, as I browse from one or two machines and my phone before downloading on my home machine.  Is is possible to show an icon as to whether I've already bookmarked (without having to click on it)? Also, I would rather not be taken to my bookmarks page when I bookmark something. I'm running through the list to bookmark some new torrents, and I have to click the back button each time. I would imagine that's the same for most.

hey Slash, love what you did with the website. I know how bootstrap can get even with its simplicity. Thank you for the facelift

Love the new design, great job Slash. One thing missing is the "new" tag. When I check the site daily, I don't know where I left off exactly. It would be nice to have a way to tell the ones I've seen versus new torrents. Thanks again for all your hard work!

there actually is an indicator of "new" - barely visible horizontal red line under the download icon on browse page.. i can make it more visible, if that is the issue.. or maybe i can put a better, more visual indicator?

Coming back today I see the download icon is yellow for new releases since my last visit. This looks clear to me, thanks, Slash.
