Youtube on forums weirdness

So, with https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere this extension running on chrome, youtube videos do not appear in forum posts...just a white square that can be right-clicked to show "about flash player"

any ideas why?
should i just not use that extension?

is it on;y happening here or in all places with embedded youtube videos?

I don't really go anywhere else with embedded videos, or at least i haven't noticed them not working
Here is the only place I've noticed it though

I found a setting inside it that disables it for youtube and solved the issue

If you can link me some other youtube embedded sites I can check them out

It's a good extension, and EFF is a group you can trust. You can go to the settings for https-everywhere and set youtube (or any other site ) to not force a secure connection (https).
Also, there is an extension named https finder which works in conjunction with https-everywhere. Give it a look, I have used both for years with no trouble.
