too many mate... however anything by gotan project is always good to listen to along with 4hero (old stuff) for laid back days (if you want me to copy to the FTP root let me know)

Fernando Ferreyra is monstrous, but I know you don't like too much progressive!

Got loads of Lawler as well courtesy of Dan... depends what you want mate and what sort of froggy mood you are in!!

Dumped a file list of everything I have in a text file to your FTP  folder... or can send you everything I have via message Le Frog!!

i would love to get that list of suggested/recommeded lsitening, if i am not intruding. there are SO many artists out there, and some change styles over time to a dislikable state. infected mushroom, was my first concert back into society after my accident, and my buddy drove and paid for me, and they had totally changed from hard thick dense layered psy/goa into something horrendous with electric guitars and punk rock and drums, oh and that clown steve aoki opened, he, too gave me the 'pleasure' of his real or fake guitar work. i was not happy, nor was my buddy. i understand artists want to ;grow' (groan), explore new genres, but this was just garbage to me, but everybody was actually singing to their songs, when i heard my buddy;s disks he managed to get from israel (?) or where they are actually from, it was pretty sweet stuff, older.  but screaming into a mike, i only remember it as a punk style show. this was probably back in after 2007 when i got hurt, so around that time period. and i only have 2 real friends who like my techno like i do. so i had been out of the scene FOREVER, and thank god, i find its stronger in some ways, and worse in others, like the commercialization. before i got back to this site, i found the dj list.com or some such, and they had David Guetta at the top of it, and slapped my forehead! i thought, people cant possible think like this. there must be a site for my deep, underground, hardcore tastes, and lo and behold. a like minded hive! quite happy here.watching that guy *guetta* try to spin flawlessly is a serious joke. its painful to see him transition and segue. but i guess thats why pop is short for popular or music for the masses, 'makes me think of Depeche mode, ) they must be the most remixed band in the history of the world, wish i could find a massive folder of pure depeche mixes, that would be some serious hard drive space.  sorry if am repeating stuff you guys have talked bout in the last 8 years of this site. i guess i will try to see TM ARCHIVES the forums...would be quite interesting.

Andy, how do afford all that much music??  20 years ago i was paying 12 USD per singe vinyl track (with a b side mix or double dj pack), and those damn cds cost 25 USD plus tax for all the imported fresh goods. Seattle used to have a Tower Records in the Univ of Wash area, and all those maxi-singles on cds were like crack to me, i just had to get those engineered mixes and they were awesome!! i own about 800 cds, and maybe 6 milk crates of wax (always wanted to dj, but i was too busy with going to all the warehouse parties!!) and keeping it going the next day in the Seattle arboretum, we would all carry the equipment for 20 minutes into the nature next to the water and just a small group of 50 or less and a chillout session. man, i miss being healthy. i was a ANIMAL BRO~! i just had to dance and get those mixes weekly.  ahhh, the days. felt good typing this, so you say you are on a diet and trying to get all fit?  (i used to really be into bodybuilding and physiology/kinesiology and nutrition), you have no idea how horrible it feels to not have done one real workout for 6 years. and i thought i was tough, but these surgeries are immobilizing after each one. now you know why i type so much, this is one of my social outlets. ok, hurts to type, jam out brother!!!!!  i have neighbors, so its no fun here. they are 'suburbanites' w/kids. uggghhh. no offense if you have kids bro!!!!! (they are good insurance for taking care of you when you get all old.) hehehehhee.

i am in a strange position in life, (it doesnt always turn out the way you planned    so i wanted to know, is PETE TONG reallly the cutting edge dj who breaks out the cutting edge artists first? cuz i always remembered the john peel sessions, and he had them play fucking crazy live in the studio, and man, you could count on his weekly artists...am i dating myself   ? and back then there was NO high speeed internet for the common man, i haad to read up on the artists and then go hunting on the web, or buy the PEEL SESSIONS for whatever artist they releases cd's for.

oh this is addressed to you ANDY!

BTW, do you know i met Aphrodite as a fluke, i hope i get the term right, drum'nbass i think. but he was tripping that i was exxceited to meet him after his set, (bout 2 years ago, it was my best friend's 40th bday, i was the scheduled driver and man i was fucking in pain. but i went up to the vip section past the jerk who was guarding the dead area like fort knox, and i shook his hand and after explaining my age to  him, (i look, or used to look much younger than my age), he totally accepted my compliment, since i am not into d & b. Seattle's serving laws suck, poor guy goes up to the vip barrtrendress and asks her for a pint of beeer, he's parched from working the floor,a nd because its past serving time, they DENIED HIM. i was in shock, and he was not to pleased either. i told him to raid his hotel's room service or mini-bar, cuz there was no way he was getting alcohol ina public area in a club. total shit. i heear asbout ibiza and new york and how they go non stop. i felt really bad for the guy. fuck, he was their talent for the night. fucking Aphrodite man! owner of a club and all that. not cool. i dont frequent the place. now, (because of the 3-5 times i go out to any bar period!) that's why its such a big deal to me!!!

now, its just for the music, i am usually disappointed by the social scene at certain places. what happened? are we wiser? are we looking for something different? or have the youth changed? all three maybe?
