BBC radio 1 aired it's first essential mix show in 1993, and over the years the show has broadcast some amazing live shows from clubs & festivals across the globe. However nowadays there seems to be too many studio sets from Z list dj's that many people have'nt even heard of ?? I was looking through my downloads today & I came across an absolute gem of a mix! I thought to myself, God damn they don't broadcast great shows like this nowadays. - - - -

What are your views on the BBC Radio 1 essential mix?? This was once the best show ever to grace our airwaves. Have they completely lost the plot???  Andy P the king of the forums will have something to say on this subject, I hope!  :-O  :-O

The 90's was amazing time's for UK clubbers, the tunes was amazing the clubs was amazing, it really was good good times but sadly the UK scene is not what it was & i think that maybe one reason we don't get these essential mixes anymore.Maybe it might pick up again but we will never see the same times as what we did back then.
