Andy, i could not get into techno when names like you listed above were ravaging crowds....
Although the new breed of techno kings i am starting to warm to, Umek, Beyer, Spektre, Pig & Dan are doing some really cool stuff. I know some of these guys mixes hinge on the side of house, for me this makes the straight up techno much more bearable..... Umek turned my head with a few of his live shows starting late in 2010, his live shows are da shit!
Just my two bobs worth

audio injection is immense as well
his set with drumcell at berghain (7 hrs) is amazing, well skip the first 2 hours, too slow for my liking,

Carl just has the headphones around his neck as decoration
Luke Slater is top notch but you forgot Dave Clarke!....mr.play with the EQs and the scratching himself.
Ben Klock is amazing...deejay wise. So was his EP...the one with Napoleon Hill on it...top class
Producer wise, you have to add Marcel Dettmann and his nasty as feck album from 2010 called DETTMANN. Just as Richie says, wish it was mixed
Surgeon and Regis aka The British Murder Boys are also just top class. They tend to play up for it, HARD TECHNO
Drumcell has to be up there, his berghain mix from earlier this year was top class. Plus he always brings it.
Ben Sims as well....
I loved the older Jeff Mills sets, where he played the usual hard techno but played the best part of the record then moved on like 2 mins later and he was playing 3-4 decks. My fave is his set from I Love Techno 1999 with Laurent Garnier.
