i know, right... please, no need to stampede, no no, there are enough salesmen for to double or triple up on every customer.. oh, noone is stampeding? that's weird..

i understand apple is a good computer, why not? but pretending that it's the only computer - that's what makes me hate apple.. for the same money i can buy 2 identical pc products and each of them will be better and faster and more reliable, full of games and software that apple has never even neared..

:stupid:

Dammit munkyn, you knew I'd come after ya' on this one!

I'm an "Apple Fan Boi."

There's only 1 thing worse than Apple fan boys:  Apple fan boy haters.

Why?

Most Apple haters are using stolen Apple technology.     :spank:

FACT:  Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt, was on Apple's Board of Directors during the development of the iPhone and iPad.  Google's founder's, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were both close personal friends with Steve Jobs at the time.

FACT:  Wonder why touch-screen features spread so quickly in 2010?  The Android, developed by Google, released in January, 2010, by HTC is the reason.  Google licenses Apple's stolen technology to other smart phone companies.  Google's also licenses Apple's stolen technology in open format. Google licenses & Google licenses in open format are why there are so many touch-screen smart phones available today.

FACT:  Apple filed suit for patent infringement against HTC (and therefore Google) after the January, 2010, Android release.  20 patents were stolen and used.  The patents pertain to various multi-touch gestures, swipe to open, double tap to zoom, pinch and expand, and sensors used to determine how the device is held, among others.

Google's patent infringement only involves touch-screen devices, obviously.  So, feel free to hate on iTunes, iCloud, Apple PCs, etc.

But don't hate the mobile device users . . . hate yourself.

Dammit munkyn, you slacker!    :chair:

I must confess I own 1 Apple product.

I have an iPod classic (160GB) and I have to say that it's shit!

It crashes all the fooking time (no updates have ever cured this problem) and the jog wheel on the front is falling off.

The battery life is failing fast, and I can only use mp3 or AAC codecs - which annoys the crap out of me.

Why I didn't spend less money on a superior rival product, I just don't know. I must have had a brain fart.

Oh and the other thing, since they encrypted the OS, I cannot flash it with rockbox or whatever. Also I can't get any music copied off my iPod onto other devices.

My £30 Phillips personal mp3 player came with better headphones and doesn't have the limitations listed above. FFS!!

Apple?  :o)

don't know, Mallam, about all those patents.. i've actually read somewhere that android system was developed by some small company somewhere in europe, and google have purchased that company, seeing how good it was looking.

hating is one thing. whatever.

keeping in mind, though, that PC has always had more efficient solutions at half the price. 10 times more software. and a community of users who don't think that they are better than others.

You're right.  You're fed shite via the internet by Google, Motorola, etc. so you buy their products instead!

Slash, that's true.  But that's not the issue.  It's about Apple's patents regarding touch-screen functionality.  If you recall, Android didn't have touch-screen capability until the version released in January, 2010.  That's over 2 years without touch-screen tech, while iPhone was out and working.

I'm with ya' on PCs being more efficient and cheaper.  Totally agree.   ;-)

If you want a product that has not been borrowed / stolen / copied from a competitor, you will have to build your own from raw materials.

Go with what works for you, what does what you need it to do, and leave the marching to the masses.

When I was a kid, Apple's were expensive and shite for what I wanted them to do (games and music) so was the PC - hence I bought an Amiga.

I hated the shitty PC's at the time and I only bought a PC in 1998 because it was the best option around for what I wanted to do (at the time) spreadsheets, word processing and 3D vector games.

I would never switch to an Apple product UNLESS it demonstrated it was the best in the business for what I wanted it for.

I really regret wasting my hard earned £££'s on that iPod... I didn't do my homework and feel like a  :o)  now!
