mohamedbashastar Little Death on August 25th, 2010 / post 35899
as the question might appear saying how much you own. what i mean whats the avaliable space you have.

i dont mean already used. i want to know used and unused. they must be yours. not the whole household or something. since some of you might consider your childs laptop as urs.

I have 2 x 2TB external HDD, the first hd is for movies i have 1.2 TB full
the seconed is for shows i have 1.5 TB full
1x500 Gb internal full with music (EDM Style)
1x320 GB internal (where i download then transport the goods to the big guns)
1x500 GB portable (from the name is portable)

so i am worth 5320 GB

i bet some of u have around 10-20 TB. so i want to be frightend

but you did put PORN as first item in the topic? interesting... i don't store it either, i check it online when i want/need to. there are thousands of sites providing high-quality samples of their galleries...

but to get back to the topic.... hehe...
1. 1 TB full of music from tribalmixes
2. 1 500GB full of music from tribalmixes (off-line)
3. 1 400GB half full with music
4. 200GB + 100GB + 80GB with music from tribalmixes in my old computer (offline)
5. 300-400 DVD-s with music from tribalmixes (2005-2006), i used to burn dvd-s back then, until HDDs became very cheap...
6. maybe 200-300 DVD-s with movies and shows... i erase them now after watching, well, most of them... i do keep my favorites, though.. like cartoons and some few shows...

so totaling over 3TB of music plus about 1TB of shows...
about 4TB together...

I have a 2 TB 3/4 full of nothing but tribal mixes stuff.
1 500 GB not used..
1 500 GB full of pics and vids
and Master is 250 GB about 60% full of only operating programs and browsers etc.

I got another computer I rarely use that has 2 internals totaling 800 GB and those r pretty much empty!

So Yes I have alot to share, but I also have plenty of more room.

My speedy internet connection does help alot too.

Ah finally some internet time...... What a blurred week!

2 x 500g hard drives for TM files.
1 x 500g hard drive for movies, tv shows etc
1 x 750g external, mainly consisting of music albums, backed up live mixes, backed up pictures

I try and run most of my hard drives at 75% full, i definately find that things run much smoother when this is the case.

Like Slash i have alot of stuff on DVD. I suppose around 300-400 DVD's worth.

:-D

True...

But i would prefer not to drive with ear plugs playing music cause then it would inhibit my ability to hear for other dangers on the road or at least hear a sudden noise on the car that may need to have ones self pull on shoulder of the road to look at the issue and see if it is safe to continue..

I am just a very cautious person when i am driving, I have had too many close calls in my years driving so far.

For PC users, I recommend NOT getting an IPOD because it's overpriced and needs 3rd party software called Itunes to transfer files. (Apple always needs to be "special")
I suggest a regular MP3 player, that you use windows explorer to transfer the files with no 3rd party software needed. I use an RCA >>>  This one:
$60 canadian + BS taxes

There's another version that goes under the company name LYRA , that is pretty much the exact same model with same operating software: https://images.pricecanada.com/images/products/607/l607303.jpg

hehe.. not to step away from the topic, but... well... i drive maybe 4-5 times more than regular people. that's my bread - driving... anyways, during my 8-9 years of driving (and mind: i've never been to any schools for drivers, learned from friends, just went to take the exam, passed from 2nd attempt, and got my license), i've had a bunch of accidents... the best i remember a) first weeks behind the wheel spun in the middle of the intersection and hit a perpendicular direction stopped car sideways, ruined my friends car completely, b) three days after getting my stick-shift honda accord, completely not knowing how to drive it, i hit someone from behind, ruined front of the car completely - never fully fixed it, since then hood's always been a different color, c) doing 70mph on highway, i was a part of 6 car crash, and the guy i hit from behind simply took off, maybe had no insurance... anyways, why i am saying this? from what i recall right now, maybe total of 6-7 accidents, some hit me, some i hit, some close calls have taught me to avoid some accidents for life, but after all... accidents aren't as bad as they look like... but driving with earphones is not acceptable. but all in all, don't worry, bro... better enjoy your drive than sit there expecting an accident at every moment...

ps. to the topic: recently i stopped burning cds and dvds, i cannot insert more than 2hdds into my computer, or maybe i dunno how to, but now when i run out of space - i simply erase some of the old stuff... yes, collectors or not, gotta have free space to collect to... =)

320GB my hard disk 90% full of pics & TM sets  :-D

thats 2900 GBs of stuff  :-D

i stopped buying HDDs and starting using DVDs which i hate but i kinda got lost inside the hard drives to find a movies or an episode of Simpsons  :-(
mohamedbashastar Little Death on September 1st, 2010 / post 35984
i disagree with buying DVD's they get scratched. and lost

if i want to look for something on HD i just use the search box, i am not sure what OS you are using but shouldnt there be a search option?

also HDD arnt fail proof also. they might crack down (the hard drives might fail, or just die on you). and you might lose a lot of data. a hell more than losing a DVD

so using both methods has UPS and Downs
