2009 TOP 10 MOST SNATCHED TORRENTS, page 1

We are at the end of the year, so i think it is time for small recap of what was 2009 like here on TM. We have seen many exciting changes and TM just got better and better. Maybe our beloved slash could prepare a bit of 2009 statistics for us, stats freaks :) Anyway here is TOP 10 of most downloaded torrents during the year 2009, together with the info i could dig up from the site as of 21-12-2009:

This was quite a surprise as Steve himself doesn't give much of his work out, most of his sets are recorded broadcasts. Only 128k but still very worthy.

Another rip of mine, this time from dancetrippin.tv. It came out of nowhere and at the time i was uploading it i didn't see or hear the set. Just few days after i returned to check and i was amazed by what and how James played. Video was uploaded to TM also, so if you haven't seen it yet, it's a must!

I remember when i first saw the banner on the [MS] advertising this set. I was lucky to catch it soon, maybe few minutes after it was made public as it had only one comment. Very nice set which has been since then broadcasted many many times on radios.

Ripped by myself from the ibiza radio net broadcasts. I was recording from 2 radios at once and i remember that i did 2 bad cuts before the final one which i think is still bad (John was starting after Guy Gerber and it wasn't clear when). This set is not very good compared to other S&D work, although the second part with Sasha improved it a lot.

this one .. well i was on vacation and i was very sad that it was penthouse and not me who uploaded it.It's like that always, when i am out great music comes in :) Anyway, fantastic hour, one of the best i've heard in all 2009.

As you can see, TM's favourite dj's are without doubt Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Steve Lawler.
I have personally uploaded 5 of top10 torrents. I became a moderator in the middle of the year, after only one and half year being active here. My dream on TM came true and i am very happy to be part of it. That's why i'd like to encourage all of you - if you truly love the music and community, you can achieve it too (if you want). I am glad we still have great uploaders like pippoka (owning the shit right now!), pozi7ive, cshekar, Tokes, buzzer, littleangel, moocowdan and others doing the great job.
It is also ironic, that the most downloaded torrent of 2009 was uploaded by a person, who had his account disabled few weeks later. If he wouldn't do what he did, he could have been numero uno uploader of this year, but he wasn't able to give up his ego. I hope this will never happen again.

anyways, what kind of stats would you like to see? nothing wrong with that...

although i have to note here, dumbstruck as i am with the mere notion of forgetting the 'extended search panel' that i introduced quite a while ago... with that - there's just 6-7 clicks as to obtaining this information, no 'deep digging' is required.

and that page can also be sorted by pretty much anything... and it gives quite a load of knowledge too... first page 100 TOP torrents ranges from high 300-s to almost a 1000 (btw, i gave penthouse then advise on how to increase snatches, if he went with it, torrent would have had at least 1200-1300 snatches). i'm only in there once with idc winner torrent, although there's 3 me on the next page, ha ha, big woop... =)

Great idea and a great search options , I think since I've been a mod I quieted uploading as much as i used to while Fabric and Bidona Was my competitors but it seems mod thing has taken all of us out of uploading

well for me i only upload what I like which I'm sure is not popular,some members promos and stuff

Willy true with the mods getting quiet, although i'm still trying time to time, missing the excitement when i upload something exclusive :) It brings me more enjoyment than any other activity on the web and i hope i can pass my passion to others as well. To feel satisfied when you upload something which you know will be downloaded and listened really much.

wooww...we should have this list every year`s end,,& maybe it could be the top 50 snatched torrents of the year...
