THE PRESTIGE

A very well made film.quite dark with a twist.

The film centres around two rival magicians whose bid to out do one another leads too one of the magicians to a 'act' that in performing he losers  his  life & the rival magician being accused of his murder.

SOme nice relations in this film to the power of hope & it's ability to make people over look the obvious truths in the hope of some magical revelations, faiths, religions etc.

I.E- The best magicians know that a large proportion of the Audience - - - - -

WANT TO BE FOOLED / DELUSIONAL - Rather than face what can seem 'hard physical facts' of life.

Shame really when only the facts can set you free .

Anyhow good film

Since there are a few new movies out there here is my update

Most of Brad Pits recent movies like

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Inglourious Basterds

are over 2 hr long and they are not really that nice, to watch if you are someone who is 16 yr old, but they each has a story behind it so they are ok to watch then.

I recently watched

black hawk down : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265086/
found the movie good to watch will not disappoint if you like war

I still havent watched twilight new moon but i like the first movie, and i liked all four stories so i bet will like twilight new moon

American pie 7: sucks to say the truth, the first five movies are great and the first 3 are amazing.

I still havent watched public enemies i want to watch it

kingdom of heaven also watched that like a month ago really nice

will keep you updated. but i hope this forum topic doesnt become me only talking  :-)  :-)  :-)

Hmm... I haven't seen any of these movies you listed except for Black Hawk down, and yes it is one of my fav war movies ever.

Besides that I am not that much of a social person so I rarely go out to the movies to watch new programing. LOL but I did make the trip 2 weeks ago to see The Blind Side with Sandra bullock, and Tim McGraw.. https://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi274138393/ It is a great sports movie. But naturally I would go and see that movie because I live in Baltimore and the story in the movie is Idol-ed after Michel Oher A Rookie Tackle that is on the Baltimore Ravens NFL Football Team.

hehe.. you didn't grow up on good tarantino's movies, like "pulp fiction" and other earlier masterpieces.. now i despise all the blood he brings into his products, but i appreciate how he makes it all look pretty in style. i saw "Inglorious Basterds" and it was quite nice, i'll daresay..

I saw pulp fiction like 4 yrs ago on TV and i loved, i might not have grown up on his movie the moment they came out but i did watch them while growing up. hope that makes sense

and i also like Sin City he directed. Had a certain touch (feeling about it) interesting the way he directed the movie.

i would to add pathology once again to the movie list.

I thought Inglorious Basterds was a piece of sh#t film. I'm sorry but i like the way things really was. And really when i watched Defiance I loved it. And the one with Tom Cruise..Valkyrie. I wanted him to Kill Hitler. But Inglorious Basterds was no good for me.

Crows ZERO and Crows ZERO II.

Great Japanese films.  Both have come out in the last 3 years.
High school students beating the crap out of each other, but
done VERY well.
