What is ascii?

ASCII is the abbreviation for "American Standard Code for Information Interchange" and it is a set of charachters and it's just like a txt file but with special charachters

and to be more specific, something like this... it is my work from maybe 6 years ago... also i couldn't find the best font to convert this stuff, cause it is supposed to be viewed in text mode 80x25 with the bios-font, then it gives smothest quality and antialiasing. but still this is a taste of it. and if someone is interested, i could give links to where to get that stuff and there dos-like viewer is included.

that over there isn't much of art, it is called 'the oldschool', when you're using only \/|=+ whatever easy chars, but newschool is the one picture above. there's also block-ascii, that i don't really like.
