P didy and house music what is your view

Last night I went to nyc to see the great dj Felix the houscat.  The set started o.k.  Felix kept on brining the volume down at random times and made the set sound, well lazy, it seemed as if he did not want to take the time to mix properly.  An hour later I was beging to have any kind of set back.  At around 3pm Pdidy showed up with his crew and went to the dj booth.  He proceeded to ruin a decent set.  For the next two hours pdidy stood on top of the decks and screamed into a mic that felix was the real underground dj and that the crowd were bitches.  Then he repeated for close to two hours over and over "you are listening to felix the housecat"  as if we all were unsure who the dj was.  My opinion is that p diddy is trying to make headway into house music by making the odd track with felix, Can't remember the exact name of the track but he did this year with Felix and it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.  P diddy hangs out in Ibiza and ruins sets in NYC.  IMHO P diddy sucks and he will never earn respect in the house scene if he continues to ruin sets.

yeah, seems like it. i would be frustrated too if some idiot rap-sturrr came in like that, and haven't heard the track they've made i'm already sure it sucks. what can he freaking say about house... let them rnb lovers enjoy him personally and consumingly, not letting any of his stuff out. i don't like house with p diddy. :(

tonight i was driving home from work and it was about 2am right when all clubs and bars close in chicago. so on the street 4 black girls with huge asses opened car door with stereo (it wasn't loud) playing something, but they were shaking them asses so hard, and jumping cars passing by. i just beeped to let me by and went away, but those b@ches could get hit and killed. that's what happens when you listen to too much r&b. :deadhorse:

What did Felix play ? I saw him this summer in Germany  but I didn't liked his set. He used too many CDs than vinyl and the whole set had no atmosphere. I was wondering wheather DJs spin kind of music which they are known in different countries for.

Btw. funny story.

Let me see, he spun the new maddona track, real undergound, lol.  He spun some obscure techno whic was good.  He also spun the new remix of pink floyd's the wall.  And then puffy came and I got so angry and distracted by his ravings that I missed the rest of the track selection.

Very interesting. I thought Felix would spin som nice experimental tracks but it was mostly remixes of known  pop/rock/dance songs. Ok, that's his "electroclash" but it wasn't a real, nice mix. Just a line of popular songs in a very loud and heavy kind. This did not impress me though he has a big name in germany. In this case I like the orginals more than electroclash remixes.
I was disappointed because I knew somer very nice sets of Felix in 90ies and it was first time I was able to listen to him live. For me another bad example when going for too much pop ;-)
