Insufficient Award Error, page 1

Hey guys,

I just again encountered a problem which I've encountered once before in the past but have been unable to solve.
I have included a link to a screenshot of my problem below.

I just downloaded "James Zabiela & Danny Howells - Platinum Series Live [Red Bull On The Move] - 09-Nov-2007" which is a 163.39 MB file.

When I click on "Downloads" in the "My Stuff" tab it says that I've only downloaded 29.00 MB of it, yet I have the entire file, it was reported completed, and I recieved an award in the "Awards" section.

The problem is that my award is only 29.00 MB and the torrent is 163.39 MB!

I have not yet clicked to take the award because I'd like to work this issue out if possible. I do my best to legitimately keep a decent ratio but this is the second time this has happened to me and it's bummin' me out. :(

Thanks for reading,
LimeTea

Maybe there were some kind of network errors, so your client was unable to report downloaded amount correctly. Your downloaded amount is increased by 29.00 Mbytes, so you got the award only for 29.00 Mbytes. It's totally fair, use that award, before it expires :)

It's interesting to know that it might be a network error. Admittedly I am non-connectable [my entire apartment building shares the same Internet connection] so in all honestly you're probably right.

I'll accept the 29.00 MB award now, but I'd just like to know your opinion... Should I use a different client to avoid this problem in the future? (Currently using uTorrent 1.7.5)

[EDIT: Oh wait, now that I reread your response... Are you saying that I got an award for exactly the same amount as the TribalMixes server thought I downloaded? If that is the case, then I didn't lose anything! :)]

dude, in our entire life we need to live with a lot of insignificant details which always rub the wrong way and this is some of the milion. it happened to me more than 20 times when my isp cut off my internet for a while and later let it on and i lost some gigs but still i have a ratio, dont i. let everybody read this over and stop cryin ;-)

Yeah, you haven't lost anything... Replacing your client can't solve such a thing, it's the problem of a deeper level (network).
