yeah sure as long as the number of sets dont exceed the number of members ...i dont think anyone would mind if each 3 made a set together :)

no guys, let's not go crazy out there, yes, you can team up with a bunch of dudes, and do b2b, each plays 2-3 tracks in that hour, but it's as far as it will get all of you, because there can only be one single notice of each dj's name in all of the 5 sets. say sasha & jd submit a joint mix into the english team (if such were...), neither of them can be present in any other set's name (i.e. cannot enter the competition with single dj-ed sets or team up with someone else and do). it's all really complicated here so we'll simply call it "one dj will only enter the contest once per contest"...

Who's gonna organize the team charts? Can we have a list or something?

every team should start gathering their members together and after chosing a captain they should post their DJ list in a new forum. that'll make it easier for all.

i dont know if it's too late to voice my opinion about the whole how many teams per country but i think it's not fair for it to be unlimited. i think the best compromise is to allow only one team with a range of members (3-6 for example) rather than a fixed number..
yeah i think 7 members for each country should be fair as u can see on the main poll everyone voted unlimited teams but thats cause they all want to join ,,no one though of how hard it will be for the judges who strugled last year to announce a winner ...so insted of increasing the number of teams maybe increase the number of members ...this will make everything easier to trace

Zahran Opinion is not bad but now I am eady with the team , the problem is there is about 20 DJ wanna join from Egypt , who will be selected i hope you got wat i mean

Regards
so whos in ur team ??:)

well, will there be only live sets?  if yes, can there be a special category, best studio set?

i can assure everyone, when the time comes to submit your teams for consideration of participation in idc2008, there will be special announcements made and published everywhere, as to inform everyone on the subject. until that please lets discuss the rules improvements we've been talking about.

so far new suggestions are as follows:
  • for "new-to-the-contest" countries - 1 team, up to 2 teams per country for previous years participants, will pass the prejudgment process, allowing also last year's 3 first winners additional third teams consisting of mainly last years competitors (at least 2-3).
  • prejudgment can be placed on judges, i would say, on willing judges, also it can be based on the summary of [e]-browser ratings of all djs, thus total teams' popularity on the website, which would also be honest, i think... well, the pj itself could mean pre-screening of the mixes of the less known, or well, simply unknown djs, pd will be needed for countries that will appear to have more than allowable number of team submissions or for generally unknown djs.
  • all judges will be awarded extremely nice v.i.p. privileges (if not yet possessing) temporary for the time of the contest.

I think the wiser idea is that teams of the same country compete against each other first and the best, or the best two are then selected to compete with the other countries. Pretty much like Champions League if you know what I mean...

In order to select the winning teams from each country, other TM members from the same country could be the jurors.

too complicated  :-/  why not just keep it the old fashion way would be much easier more elegent and would save the judges less time and all would be good !

thats  exactly what I'm talking about Qualifications between every country and the winner goes for the finals  :-)
