I know your feeling I pray every day to avoid this really it's the worst thing could do u r music but u have to know that it's immposiable for not making this happen, so I upload all my music from time to time on links and DVDs also I ve got 3 external hard disks put my best music in it and then remove them from my main PC which is facing all bugs and viruses and work too much because my PC is always open.

God be with you and waitting for the inhaling of your Hard disk to get some rare music :-D

Sorry to hear this brother, a couple years back I had a 250gb Maxtor crash on me, I found a program that saved most of what was on the hd with the exception of maybe 20gb. Also, I have to tell you that Seagate has become the hardrive of choice for me, I have 3, (2) 500gb (1) 750gb externals, the model is called Free Agent, I recently converted to them and I recommend highly to all of you guys.

** bidona, If you do lose anything specific that I can help you with let me know, I'll get it to you.

Best Wishes

Those Seagates are sweet. They just run hot, I just added the 500 the other day.

Thats the worst feeling in the world, I upgraded to Vista ultimate about 4 months ago, I had to do a clean install. I lost everything. Pictures, music, videos all gone. I hope it works out for you.

What do you connect them to fabric USB or firewire? I might check one of those out. Take Care

dude, I suggest you get one, they set themselves up, its unreal how easy, they're USB (plug it in 2 minutes later its ready). The 500gb is the way to fly, although they just came out with the 750gb.
