i've noticed many people sharing personal achievements.. well, i've recently crossed 3TB uploads and just like few hours ago i've gotten my 50,000th immortal point. hehe... i would have much more, but well when i've had about 20k points myself with 800 torrents up, all others had 2-3k max, so i wasted all of my points for lottery, otherwise i'd be first in top10immortals now, instead of bidona, with nearly 60k points.. =)

59,057 immortal points here, but i waste about 20-30k dont know exactly, for upload credit in the very begining of this stuff, and know i wonder why? 30GB upload credit of 3.3TB? this is less than 1% lol

not so much longer... lottery and immortality started, i'd say, somewhere june 2006.. then you've joined in december, right about time when me and bidona have spent thousands of points just for fun.. but it's not the case, - 99% of our points were honestly earned, maybe 1% won in lottery, with you it's 99% lottery and maybe 1% seeding... =))) but you're lucky...

i've gotten about 2 or 3 of the 500 points awards in last week or so, then i'm seeding like 600 undead torrents, getting maximum points for the seeding jobs, and still i cannot reach immortal rating of 0.900. damn... need some really popular torrents, so that everyone would rate them with 5-s thus giving me 5 points every time... with a good torrent you can pick up 200-300 points easily in first few days of its existence, i guess it's not seeding that gives you as much after all... although seeding by itself does give lots of points.

Do you guys win trips, tv's, tickets to parties for reaching a certain amount of points? :D
It would be a good idea to have those kinds of gifts awarded through an exchange of publicity and goods.
I also think you guys could have guest lists in many US venues and organize some meetings, that would boost the participation of new and old users in the forums.

Just brainstormin' here

tm private parties
drumkode user on July 30th, 2007 / post 20785
I wasnt referring to private parties. I know forums in NYC that work like that, have guest lists at pacha, sullivan room, stereo, etc, at every venue they have lists, so that the users of the forum can get in at a reasonable price, i think that's the least they can do to people who enjoy and support electronic music and hang out at the forum, building a strong community of EDM lovers and friends. The clubs also gain from this as the guest lists are ways of getting people in the clubs spending money ;-)

Of course tribalmixes gatherings could be done too... =)

I have nothing crazy like uploading a couple terabytes. The only thing I can mention is the fact that I have cable internet with an upload of 600kbps and I've managed in 33 weeks to get 85.65gb upload. I really enjoy the music sharing community Tribalmixes offers and am going to continue to support it, I have never seen a site with such frequent updates and such great quality of posted sets(only a few doozies but I choose not download those of course).
