music nowadays, page 2

I never understood minimal:( One of the reasons I stopped partying, besides getting older, is I can't enjoy the music like I used to. There are very few DJ's that I can still enjoy. Actually there is ONE... Max Graham, thats it. Deep Dish, Lawler, Satoshi Tomie deviated from their style so much that I honestly can't enjoy any of their music:( Well Deep Dish can pull it off sometimes if Sharam is spinning but Lawler and Satoshi is just not my cup'o'tea anymore:(

ANy music can be good depending on the mood you're in, you cant listen to minimal at a club but at home chilling its very nice. Sooner or later all the genres will have elements of each other, for example we have alot of track with electro / progressive styles coming out which is my favorite at the moment. As for Dj's its harder to enjoy them since we know all the tracks they are gonna play, so in order for a Dj to impress me they have to play underground or unknown stuff aside from mixing and reacting to the crowd, The Dj's that have been good in my opinion at live shows are:

Sander K
Hernan
Dubfire
G&D

other dj's like Axwell have dissapointed me very much.

Yeah electronic music really sucks in comparison to a few years ago.Not all, but most of it.
I'll give you an example:Here in our country, we had big open air's from 90's till 2004, and there you had 3 dancefloors:
-Techno
-House
-Trance/Goa
Techno was always packed full! I'mean like you went to the party to listen the techno dj's.House and trance floors were half empty:)Although one time, Sonique was performing at the house stage and the woman threw a monster track, then she stood up on the decks and danced,OMG. You just dont see that anymore. You hardly see any dj doing vinyl(probably because the tracks come out very late on vinyl),well maybe some dnb dj's.
Anyway back to the point, techno was sooo better back in the day, today it's just like plink plonk, you feel like you're on a scrapyard.NO wonder nowadays, when you go to a party there's only house floor and maybe a proggresive privee.Ufcourse when dj begins,a couple of new tunes...then it's plink plonk time, then it's dark time,(if your on bob sinclair, you might aswell just went to a rap concert),and at the end if your lucky there's a old tune:)But you had  a great time, because you wore drunk the whole time, had some white powder, weed, and you scored with a babe, so you dont really care about the the crappy tunes:)
the whole electronic music scene has become so commercialised, that when i see an oldies goldies flyer for a party, i just say thanks god we still have that.

Today  famous dj's play just these commercialised tunes or tunes you heard 6 months earlier here on tribalmixes:)This site should have an additional musical genre for torrents:old classical set-max till 2003, couse every second or third  classical  torrent is john digweed or sasha from 2005. These to guys started this whole minimal thing,....wish they just stayed at progressive.
Well when i go to a party, i dont expect new tracks, but those oldies that you havent heard in 5 years, so you can relive those 5 minutes of your youth.haha:

But there is something that keeps me listening to electronic music just over and over:)What would i do without tribalmixes:),cheers

Hey M8s!
I think that no matter what kind of music do you like or listen! It must be Quality music! so if you are on big gig or rave, the sound system is amazing, you will be dancing no matter what it is. House Trance minimal, tech... I like quality, i do techno, house and a litl bit of trance... but i still respect anybody who make good stuff... be positive and drink Beer with tequilla =)
