The Philadelphia Union have replaced John Nowak as manager/head coach and promoted John Hackworth to the role of interim manager, citing "philosophical differences" between the club and Peter Nowak.

The Union are struggling so far in the 2012 campaign and the move to Hackworth is an attempt to shift gears and direction for the club.  The Union made their first ever MLS playoff appearance last year but have since moved several key / fan favorite players.  The result of this leadership change will be played out on the pitch.
