In between, we'll continue our studies. Our preferred method is to choose the most interesting videos on Youtube and translate them into our native language. It's not always easy, as sometimes we run into inappropriate language, slang or slur. We don't use those words and try different alternatives. There could be news about celebrities, TV stars, actors, celebrities or rap start. There were times when we would encounter sloppy conversations, so I began to make videos at home and then censor them in some manner. Additionally, I select the best ones with more interesting conversation, less insinuations and more than just curse words. We don't have internet in the school, since we are far from the internet towers. Sometimes, plans to view Youtube videos are cancelled because of this.
I started downloading videos from Youtube prior to the start of the class. This enabled me to screen the language prior to beginning and improve the overall effectiveness of the material. If it isn't, I just keep it. If it isn't deleted, I remove it and move to the next. I typically download around 10-15 videos for each lesson. Then, it removes ads from the video. This is extremely helpful as I do not want my children to see the advertisements I show at home. And so I put up around 1.5 to 2 hours of video, knowing that I will only use maybe half of the material. Children can be cruel. Some videos they don't like and others they love.
The preparation process for me is quite simple. I search for videos I would like to download, and add them to a new playlist that I make private for myself, and then simply copy video playlist URL and head out to one of 3 websites that I've found to be helpful. Converto first, followed by the more well-known Y2mate and 2conv, if one of these fails. This is typically the third choice, and often works with German video. However playlists aren't supported by it. Converto is perfect for video playlists. You can view all the videos within it, and it will suggest downloading the original video files one at a time or convert them to the format of mp3/mp4. Converto is available in various languages and is totally safe.
My second choice is Y2mate. However, at times, it's my primary option. While it's not an issue but it's annoying to see that there are so many redirects, advertisements as well as full screen banners as well as other distractions. It's extremely commercialized, difficult to use, and you're always busy with pop-ups. Similar to 2conv, however they're more like static banners and are more tasteful. Although translations to other languages aren't accessible, they are superior to the original. While they're more secure than the previous ones however, they can still pose a threat and may be malware-infected if anyone accepts their advertisements. Be aware in the event that these sites are being used. They offer fewer sites from where you can download videos and then convert it to MP3 or MP4, but this doesn't mean they're ineffective.
In the end I'd rather work with well-known brands rather instead of new sites. These sites have proven their capabilities, they have survived despite constant attention from labels, authorities, Big Sound, and such. I appreciate being able to be sure that the site I prefer to use is online. This is why I use my Youtube converter and it works excellently. It is worth giving it a try.
