I still use ipvanish, however I know protonmail also has a paid VPN solution from using their mail service, maybe not as competitive on price, however a trust worthy solution nonetheless! https://protonvpn.com/pricing

NordVPN has been super fast. So it's been great.

I'm thinking to switch to protonvpn, as I use their services already (reviews sound on point even with a slightly higher price level) having been a customer for years.

However for true anonymity you would really need to look at https://tails.boum.org/ , https://www.whonix.org/ or https://www.qubes-os.org/

i finally got myself VPN, wanted no-log so went with surfshark, they don't have limits on number of connections, which means they really don't log your activity..
although Amazon, Hulu and some others don't like Surfshark, websites won't even load no matter what I do, I am lazy to figure it out, so VPN is only setup in Firefox now via plugin.. everything else uses normal ethernet, can't even install any software - it creates additional network connections which don't help even if i set browser to avoid VPN - amazon still won't load.. not that i'm trying to hide or whatnot.. just need for some stuff.. =)

I got fed up with NordVPN. Ended up canceling within their 30 day money back window. Primary reason I didn't like it is that I couldn't get port forwarding to work. Apparently it's not supported by them. I went with Private Internet Access. Very painless! Port forwarding works, so now I can seed.
My set up is a bit custom. I run everything in a docker container. So there's some kinks to work out with having the port forwarding port updated in qTorrent anytime it changes. I'm thinking a quick cron job and bash script will do the trick.
Speeds with PIA have been comparable to NordVPN (NordVPN touts their NordLyxc technology as being super fast... well it's slightly faster, but at the cost of not supporting other features). Also somehow I was able to connect and discover more peers and seeds with PIA than 5 minutes prior with NordVPN. So, bonus!

ProtonMail is running a Black Friday special this week. It's very tempting as it includes ProtonVPN and early access to ProtonDrive (their new service for encrypted storage).

you can try their vpn for free for a week or so.. when I tried, i was actually under impression that they were giving out free accounts, but 1 week later i got a message about the money... otherwise wasn't bad feature-wise..
