Nice. That video just about encapsulates how the electronic music scene (which was more a culturally movement to begin with)  has been completely re-branded and shaped into a targeted product, most of which is mainstream pop electronic music.

Formula- Do whats been popular before. Add some very basic lyrics that the target audience can relate to ( sex,loneliness,consumerism,teen love (lust) ect) then wrap it all up with some "cool" flashing lights.

Stupid sells  ;-)
