for angry power users ..., page 4

hello all, I think the changes are good, not only download, the dj's do their job and deserve credit for it, do not forget the people who make this site follow hard, people have to understand, we have to support these changes and acknowledge the work of the people who make them

Forum posts and comments are not a requirement. As Slash has said, if you don't want to do them - then don't do them.

They are a requirement to stay active as a power user, at least according to the new rules that pop up at the top of my screen always. I alway comment whenever I remember to; I had no idea there even was a forum until the new rules came out, though, lol. I don't care about the title of power user or anything like that, I just want to be able to upload

to all pissed off power users:
in 2005-2008 the site was so popular, we had draconian ratio rules and there was no need to comment, also to comment, one had to go into the torrent and click link there. and people did it, were excited...
in 2009-2013 we were going after downloads, so ratio rulex were relaxed A LOT
in 2014 we're back to about 50% laxer SR-rules of 2005-2008, and aiming for quality community.
long story short, i understand each one thinks so important and indispensable. i said it before - in the day and age of social network revolution, that is what is most valued by google and other "authorities" - live social communication of community members.
anyways....

if anything it has some info.

You're right Keylla

Heh, I remember when I used to upload a lot of torrents. I went mad when people didn't comment what they think.
Now with scene so active, so many livesets, soundcloud mixcloud etc. and internet connection 100Mbps!, I download much more ... virtually impossible to comment on everything.
I agree, it's important to build a community and not just let everyone in.
About ratio, I liked the draconian rules. Think every tracker should have them, sharing is caring.

I don't see why anyone should be angry over the new rules. That seems like such a waste of energy.
Slash, I understand your frustration. Please know that your hard work is appreciated by many.
Yup agreed ..... Something had to change, I think in time people will begin to understand WHY these changes were made and realize that they were for the good of the site!
