Teaching Oneself to Produce Music, page 1

Hello,

I've always wanted to try and teach myself how to produce EDM but haven't been able to just take that first step.

I got myself a Mac to be able to use Logic Studio, bought an Oxygen 61 keyboard (which has collected a lot of dust), among other things.

Where should I focus my concentration first?

Can you play on the keyboard? It doesn't have to be the xth symphony of Beethoven, but some notes all together should be working.
Make sure you know everything about Logic Studio, learn the key shortcuts, learn how everything works and where to find it.
Understand when to use like Compression, equalisers etc.
