i have a reference grade plasma from last year, broke it in properly, and now it shines. I bought the first Criterion Collection for my bluray collection and it was Benjamin Button.  to a lot of people it might be slow, etc. but, its a fantastic low=key movie and technically the bluray is flawless. just beautiful.  still working on the surround sound completion...

thanks for TheHUNT! i love that actor that plays the  lead character. i am trying to find as many movies as i can that he is in...

it's movies like this that make me appreciate my 3d plasma panel. and now i must read the book!

what other movies would you recommend?

another movie that busted my gourd open, with all those wicked, old school innovative microphotography(?) for the graphics. and what a fantastic triple plot line that rewards you w/further viewings.

When i first saw this, i was just mentally/visually pleased as could be.  I love Darren Aronofsky (director)  Then i went and read the book! terrific of course. and Jennifer Connelly! woooh!

this movie will get plenty of zero's, mind you it also got plenty of 10's, its not a fast movie, but it was the no.1 bluray xfer of 2012, black swan 2nd on best BluRay movies of 2012 (for overall video reproduction and sound transfer) Dir. terence malick  (the creation scene is fn IMAX filmed, just plain jaw-dropping perfect visuals.)
