to the yorkies...especially craddock...its bread  

it can also be butty, teacake (sometimes defined with currants in depending on where you are from in the north) or bun, breadcake... they're also flatcakes (with a full english inside, yes everything) but thats more the north east and not forgetting stottys, but thats a north east thing too!  

Yeah I read this in the paper today .... They call it something different in Yarkshire " Breadcake " Or summat along those lines ... Strange... Bap or Bread Roll me thinks !!!!!  

I remember as a boy, sometimes buying a whole uncut white cooked loaf...scooping out the dough after cutting one end off and filling it with crisps and ketchup then munching it down!!! Defintely a northern thing!!!

Crisps & Ketchup ...        OOOOOHHH NO !!!!!!!!

Its like a flat breadcake that hasn't risen... really good for full english sandwiches... will find a picture
