Global Gathering UK 2013 Line up, page 1

Went a few years ago mate, all weekend camping..was somewhat too hot for me an dwas way too messy which ended with my friends teasing me with jaffa cakes as my hands locked up big time!!
check my blog on the event...
https://northernmunky.co.uk/weblog/global_gathering08.html strange what shit dj's I listened to a global, my excuse... my friends dragged me some of those horrendous tents!!!
I enjoyed it, saw Etienne De cRecy there along with Shapeshifters for 3 hours on the saturday night which was awesome. The line looks ok mate, too much main stream for my liking... give me a Bedrock/Shake it/Dark progressive festival with Hawtin and I'm there!!!
Hope you have a good one mate!!!

Just a few too many km's for me to get there Leon....
Like Munkyn, i am a night owl and would prefer to head out for a special event, one dj in a small intimate environment with an awesome sound system and a spare pair of shoes to replace the first pair when you burn them out
I am sure you get what i mean....
I like to appreciate the music not the environment....

I agree with Dan...love that less than 1000 club with a reasonable entry fee. You get the people that care show up unlike with the big clubs with the idiots going to just take drugs and drink.
I would kill to do a festival but I am not sure about picking tents and deejays. I'd have to study it for a week then bolt from one tent to another to another. Too many deejays, too little time.
We used to have a festival here, I think we still do but I'm too old to hang around with children for ages plus you get better deejays in Europe because you do not have to pay flight fees and if you do, its cheap because almost all techno deejays are based in Amsterdam or Berlin. About every other deejay is based in London.

i think this is because australian festival goers are almost entirely douchebags
so the environment is craptacular, no matter how good the music
in sydney at least
thus i also prefer small venues

It's always an immense festival. Certainly recommend getting all over it.
