Agree Andy. Carl Cox is true to himself and always true to his genre of music, unlike others we know of. Back then, in the 1990's, he played some very good old skool classic music and now, even bigger. :)

yeah, coxy coxy - good good good.
first time i saw him live in 2002, summer time, pnc arts center, holmdel, new jersey, usa. it was moby's festival tour called Area 2. i've literally had nothing to poison myself with, no drugs or alcohol, no money, just the ticket... back then i didn't even know how to dance without drugs.. and i got down crazy... it was majestic.. i've seen him many a time since then, only in miami like 5 or 6 times, he is one of a kind.

never heard his studio mix honestly. but for a live driving across all kind of techno/old skool stuff is hard to name a better one!

Carl cox is an absolute legend, been a fan of his right from the eclipse days, only him & sasha got on the blast from the past tapes more then a few times.Although coxy as done many many mix compilations a stand out one for me was the F.A.C.T. compilation I had this on vinal & cassette back in 1995,just outstanding mix of trance techno mixed on vinal obviously being the 90s but even now this mix still sounds good today.I also have a good quality copy of him at sterns in 1990 which is rare I believe ( must upload that) so yeah he a legend a godfather of EDM & a massive part of it all.

^^^ nice post craddock mate.
I luvz the big daddy Carl Cox since 90-91, The 3 Deck Wizard as he was known back then. Still got tapes from Highlander,Eclipse,Perception,Rezurection etc. Great days. I remember him moving away from the hardcore in '94 (which he needed to do) and moving on with his techno sound.
He done a studio mix for Fantazia around that time which was superb and then he released the mighty F.A.C.T, which i own on cassette and vinyl too. It was a little bit ahead of it's time that album and his new sound took people a few months to catch up with what Carl was doing. Then he went from strength to strength again.
He give me some of the best nights of my life and always delivers the goods
Big Carl = Fucking legend of the scene.

Top man Craddock, just downloaded it. Surprised how good the sound quality is. I only have the old skool out on occasion but i'll give this a bit of hammer. Good stuff mate.

@craddock - Ah ahh those are cheeky flyers. Good times. Yeah over the years i've got to keep hold of pretty much all my old skool stuff but only pull it out when i'm feeling proper nostalgic. Again thanks for that quality upload mate.
