please don't forget, that Follow The White Rabbit :: podcast002 is also mixed and dedicated specially for tribalmixes BD, or maybe podcast itself was originated for the BD celebration... anyways, next podcast003 will be newest music from our beloved Adrian Eftimie!!!

to make it easier for all, there's the countdown, so it will start exactly according to what it says there, and will end in exactly 24 hrs as it says there also!

one more note in this area.. it is all set up automatically to adjust your values for up and down, but triple upload or zero download will not show up on peers. peers will report exact data transfers on the tracker, but your account will receive triple upload and zero download. you will be able to see it by not changing download amount of yours, or by quicker raising uploaded amount. remember, you might now even notice changes much at all, if your speed is slow, but still tracker knows and will triple your uploads during those 24 hours! please don't ask questions on that day, why you don't see anything...
the counter is valuable, cause it will save time zone calculations for us ... and I understand the data transfer thing, but guess most of users will still ask questions about why they see nothing cause as you know, few people follow us here

ok, this is it... right following is the history if this year for those who's interested, later tonight i'm going to post some of the secret plans and great projects... and for now...
it all supposedly started 05-may-2005, that's where 5-5-5 comes from. that is the first dasy when i managed to put all things together on my own computer (apache, mysql, php and others) and my friend logged into the website (located on my computert) from another computer.. a few days later, 11th of may, tribalmixes.com was registered, couple days of online configurational stuff and tribalmixes.com goes online! first news on the website popped up on may 15th, 2005, saying you had to start downloading torrent for seed to appear. we had about 25 torrents to start with, but my great collection of about 800 livesets helped alot at the beginning, plus i started finding new stuff myself.. website was based on sources of torrent bits tracker, open project, check in links area, learning php on the way i've added lots and remade most of it.. first there was no waittime and no ratio system affecting downloads, so leechers could enjoy their time as much as they wanted. it was even appreciated, since there was not many users at all. first my help was =^..^= and Maximus, who took over the trance uploads and much other stuff, was very active and helped out alot. although 3 weeks later he just disappeared once and for all. since that there was little trance traffic here. at that point it only took a wonderful "let me become an uploader" request to become one. only expected was your bandwidth to be over 5kbps. then may 22nd we had our first featured Dj Detale. that was the time with few users and he was playing psy-goa-hard trance, so not to much feedback..
torrents at that time lived only 4 weeks, so first days of june first torrents were already removed, and history wasn't made at that time, appeared couple of months later, that's why some entries in there have 0-s for snatches and unknown uploader. also first dj list appeared at that point, although it was very weak, not nowdays [e]ntertainment browser whatsoever. also at that time we ran 'dj of the week' project where polls were designed to find out which mixes of which dj will be uploaded on saturday, deepp dish, steve lawler, john digweed, sasha, behrouz were it's first winners. although this project also died after first absense... that is later. end of june was first appearence of the ratio-watcher bot, which now successfully removed downloading rights of about 1k users.. but at that time users were just banned for low ratio. then july 13th comes our next featured dj Kosta Del Mar, since that moment he's already had a few of radio and club perfomances.
august 2nd traffic hits 1TB for the first time. of course users removed and deleted are not included, otherwise it would be higher (and current 37gb would be around 100gb, but it's better to have traffik reporting active users total d/u). in the middle of august we start campain for collection of funds to rent a dedicated server, because it all was still located on a shared hosting provided for $7 a month, so it couldn't last like that for too long, providing high load on all other colocated websites. google was giving only $2 of income per month, so only donations could help. at the end of august i was ip-banned from my hosting company and had to connect to tribalmixes using some proxy. by mid september we had gathered $200 for new dedicated server rent, but still wanted to get more just to have it rented for half a year right away.. yeah... some strange things on hosting made me change ratio system and now users warned had seven days to fix their ratio, otherwise were banned. and all was going so well, suddenly many new users started coming directed from somewhere... and that was the end of shared hosting history, as website got banned finally and went down for 2 weeks while i was trying to rent a new server and set it up.
we came back october 11th, with an amd2.2 server and existed with it since that, although in a week or so we're moving to a p3.0htt server which is 3 times more expensive than that. and right there we had our new featured dj - Adrian Eftimie. his music has gained lots of new fans since that. users started coming in groups, although right now i can see only singles survived through the time, that is because unvisited accounts get dleeted after 6 weeks and bad ratios also do eventually. first fake uploads were noiticed at the end of october, right away fakers got banned since that, easily caught everytime they do it. also end of october was darkened by new project "skin for holiday"'s first release - halloween skin. brought up waittime to drop it again few weeks later and then beginning november 4th we had uploads open to public. it took more courage since that to remove all doubles, only later [e]-browser evolved into it's current state with easy-to-catch-doubles capabilities, illegal commercial products also popped up, but in total website highly benefited from that and opened new ways for new users to become uploaders. 2 upload mistakes revoked your upload rights, so 'bad' uploaders were stopped fast. also there was the new dj ratings posted for top 10 favourites, which now will be flushed every 1st of january to start new selection of top 10 favs for this year.
user's didn't want to select their country of origin, or never knew about it, so it was selected automatically, stating november. waittime was giving lots of confusion to torrent uploaders, since it rejected peers if they were wrongly saved to leech, not to see new torrents, some users were suffering cross-trackering and lost uplaods, so that was the process of privatisation of our tracker, adding private flags to torrents since that. end of 2005 was signed by new 'christmas/new year skin', first appearence of awesome client µTorrent that will one day exchange them all, cartman was named best character in south park and kiss100 show by john digweed as most favourite one, deep dish named the best duo out there and depeche mode's precious track the best one in 2005. superseed first starred in nov-dec of 2005, providing awesomest speeds to users downloading what it shared, but this exploit costed us the hard drive, which resulted in 5 day absense in the beginning days of 2006 and some sad feelings for all of us.. but then we were back and only superseed has never returned from that battle with hosting tech specialists... so we stepped into 2006.
right there bitcomet and azureus along with other weak versions of unpatched clients were banned, last and final progressive ratio ladder was created, 2 users have already broke their teeth now at its 100GB barrier with 0.75 mininum ratio. and as of april 20th everyone with a warning has no downloading rights. there were some ideas and projects to make warned users earn their mp3s by posting in forums and other, but it only created wide mess. also we had hit-and-run watches for a few weeks, but they proved to be putting twice more load onto the server, so were removed, although this policy is to come back.. end of january we had new featured dj Pro-Moe, who's been most successful so far towards users love. and... final worst and ugliest black out, right when our links started to produce most income of users, we had 2 weeks absense. during that time we tried to rent a new server and set it up from empty linux config, so without control panel it came out impossible. and while that, tech help fixed our server, although it costed lost of sweat to us, we decided to stay a few months till may with this company.. we're moving in a week or so! also we had a fake $50 donation at that point, that was returned to someone... need for speed skin is released in black and brown, steve lawler is best tribal performer, 40% of the users reveal they've tried all kinds of drugs, Sasha takes mix of January award, and Howells takes it in february, Spain is called the best place to party due to its Ibiza. end of february we have very first earning from google in size of $128, when will we see them again...
march was all about djlist2 - [e]ntertainment browser. everyone to build it up! also administrative team was added by 3 moderators, website fixed to showup good in firefox, WMC chosen as the best even in the world and mixes from it get high response, some of the greatest nights get recorded by our uploaders and go all over the net, attracting never-seen crowds of new users, so in march website grows twice it's size showing 239 new users max in 1 day registered, the week of wmc gathered about 1300 new users. sysop and admin go to wmc, website has short outage of about 24hours (never longer since that) but fixed soon, so moderators took good care while admins were out. sign.. 1st of april we have the ugliest joke ever - no more public uploads. now you have to [offer] your upload before you can proceed to uploading it. website gets much cleaner, staff can spend more time hunting new music then hunting new doubles on tribalmixes.. Deep Dish's perfomance at wmc was selected the best and tribalmixes itself is becoming one of the top3 websites on the internet to bring quality dance music to masses..
now we standed out a 9 hour blackout right in the beginning of may, we even thought new server should have been taken, but now we're fine, anyways we're going to start moving process one of these days... what about plans and secret moves promised? well... this is tomorrow... at the end of the celebration! enjoy the magic 24 hour downloading marathon...
