Definite has been!
Definite has been!

Honeslty, I never listened to his sets in the time he was good, only heard the shit he played... I think around 2002 I was into Tribal(lawler), had gone away from trance late 90s, very late.....so missed the shithouse mixing....defintely a has been.. however all the kids love the shite he plays, clearly they've all been deaf for a lifetime listening to this crap he churns out now!!!1

Tribal when Lawler was around. I agree....I was into Lawler/Kleinenberg/PvD and Tiesto around that time but it came unstuck when he played a horrid set in 2002 that I was at. Saw Lawler twice that year, he rocked it, same with Kleinenberg....so threw him under the bus

i really enjoyed tiestos trance it was great. but i dont really njoy house music, so i stopped listening to him when he progressed from trance over to house

never liked him much... maybe in search of sunrise in early 2000-s.. and only be4cause i haven't had access to big choice... +1 on has-been.

I loved his Space Age vol. 1 tech-house/techno mix CD. Volume 2 was more trancey and not as good overall.
His Magik/ISOS/etc albums were good to great in places and I have seen him live a few times 'back in the day' and he was generally pretty good. But it's 100% true that after he ditched producing trance/prog and moved to electro/house/trouse he's been utter gash.
I can't stand the crap he plays on his Club Life radio show and quite frankly haven't bothered to listen to hardly any of his mixes/tracks deliberatley in years (Young Lions being the only thing I've liked).
When I do hear someting mixed/produced by Tiesto it's always some half arsed bleepy blippy nonsense done in colaboration with David Guetta or the So Solid Crew or East 17 or something.
Dutch DJ's and producers are generally some of the best, but Tiesto is seemingly hell bent on becoming commercial and poppy.
When the likes of Sasha and Nick Warren are still at the edge of their genres I wonder why Tiesto managed to lose it soo badly?
