Questions about Genre of music, page 1

Hello guys,
this might be my 1st post, and Im new to this forum
but I love Trance music very much.
Especially Paul Van Dyk, ever since For an angel.

By the way my question is how you guys diffrentiate the Genre of music.
Like Trance, Progressive, House and Techno.
Can someone explain to me whats the difference in their music for each.

Anyway pls dont flame me, I am trying to learn.

Good question.. You just have to listen to them and learn for yourself. Download  a bunch of differnt styles of music and listen to the differences

well .. I guess anyone can differentiate easily between trance and house !! ... but the house styles maybe a little difficult to identify .. but it's also easy .. for example tribal music has little melodies, slow bpm, different drum loops interfering together ..
