TLM034: Meesha - Daat
Toronto producer Meesha delivers his first EP on Thoughtless with 'Daat'. Building on the sound he debuted for Thoughtless Times v.4, the title track is a perfect marriage of classic deep techno elements and the emerging U.K. funky sound, updating the dubstep genre with his crystal clear production and unique aesthetic sensibility. Following a spate of releases on international labels and a burgeoning global profile, Talal & Zoi deliver the party on their remix of 'Daat', reconfiguring the original components into an irresistible tech-house groove with a potent arrangement. Bombaman brings the battle to the front lines with his high-impact sound system slayer, designed for nothing less than ultimate peak time play. Our third take on 'Daat' comes from New York's Animaltek, who took time out from their busy production schedule to offer up a lush deep house jam that begs for after-hours play with its persuasive low-end – a welcome return to the fold after their appearance on Thoughtless Times v.2. Finally, Meesha brings his dub influence to the fore with the subsonic sway and echo chamber synth chords of 'Root', a mesmerizing stepper of oceanic proportions...
