I Need Help With My I-Pod, page 1

I Used to sync my songs on my classic ipod 160 Gbs using the itunes version 7.4 but then i updated my ipod software version to 1.1.2 so now it doesnt work except on itunes version 7.6.2 so i installed the new verison of itunes but it doesnt work on my computer no error msg but when i double click on the itunes icon nothing happens so now i m stuck my ipod doesnt work execpt on itunes version 7.6 and the itunes 7.6 doesnt work on my computer...any help will be more then appreciated

Well some times this happen so all you need to do is start manual browsing on your iPod from My Computer Folder, and then start copying what you have to your PC and then restore your iPod settings to adapt with the new I tunes .

Also try to reinstall I tunes again maybe the problem is with the iTunes not the iPod

Maybe shareware mediaplayer mediamonkey with iPod support can help. The problem is that music is coded on iPod when iTunes software is used. Since 1,5 years I'm using rockbox in addition with mediamonkey on my iPod Nano 1st gen. Maybe the coding has changed since then but I guess it has not. So you can give mediamonkey a try  

i will try it man if it does the same functions as itunes than im saved thnx man i will pm u if i have any difficulties using it

btw willy if mediamonkey that bluemax gave me didnt work then tell me how to reset my ipod and are us ure if i reset my ipod the sooftware version of the ipod will be downgrade as it was ??

Well alright you can try to reset you iPod, but it's better to try to re install the iTunes again and then start plugging your iPod for another try

looks like iTunes 7.6 has problems with your WinOS, so you will just do the simple universal technique preferred in these cases:

(1) create a new user account on your computer

(2) try installing iTunes in the new user account

(3) if it worked, so the problem was in your original account, and you can either use the new account for iTunes + iPod work only or start transferring your data from the old problematic account to the new clean and fresh one

They just came out with 7.7, works good on my ipod but not too good on my iphone.
