good 2c, unfortunately u cant make internet happy place at all on your own. if u r happy to get a set u cant be happy of the date format, or the quality, or whatever. noone can order the other one to format something in their way instead of hes own.
for example, i can title 2007-01-01, etc, the essential mixes and other weekly shows, but never will do it with a single set, i.e. 2007-Oct-Silicone Soul Promo Mix. my 2c

I agree, hence this is a plea to please please put one of the good date formats somewhere in the title or description. At this point I've had to categorize certain release groups as being good or bad daters. Either way, if I can convince just one person to switch formats then I'll feel satisfied :).

I totally agree, man. This problem has driven me nuts in the past! Does 05-06-2006 mean "May 6, 2006" or does it mean "Jun 5, 2006?"
This is how I name/tag my files...
Live at [Party Name], [Venue Name] - [City], [Country] (MMM DD, YYYY)
i.e.
Live at Galaxy Mixmasters, Amnesia - Ibiza, Spain (Jan 19, 2007)
Some sort of standard would really make my life easier and most likely facilitate the sharing of information within the TribalMixes community.

Example:
January 6th, 2007
Bad date formatting:
06-01-2007
01-06-2007
Good date formatting:
2007-01-06
06-Jan-2007
Jan-06-2007
To address the question before it comes up: 2007-01-06 is a GOOD date format, because no one I've ever seen posts using Year-Day-Month (because its totally illogical. Granted, some jackass could decide to do it just to prove me wrong). If anything, this format is the best because your computer will automatically sort your sets by date using this style.
I understand the Day-Month-Year vs Month-Day-Year discussion is a matter of nationality (North America uses the latter while the rest of the world uses the former), but the internet is a global place, so lets make it a happy place :).
Thanks.
