this topic is about someone that had something that u, me and everyone should think about. and yeah, lets mention that it happened to someone that was here on this site from the beginning and is an outstanding member of this community and we all care about her. so, if u wrote this about the "right now i am listening to" topic i could have agreed with u, but this no. and by the way, mel, i hope u r feeling better and bettter as days go by.

Exactly 1 year ago today -13th October my world fell apart when i was diagnosed with breast cancer , no way not cancer .. 3 days earlier i'd been told it was a benign tumor and i'd been celebrating ..The shock was too much , i walked round the surgeons office saying no no no x 100 .. i was a broken woman .. but i knew what i had to do and that was fight fight fight for survival .. noway was this bastard going to beat me .. IT DIDN'T a year on i'm still here , in which i am so grateful to all my surgeons , Oncologists , Breast Cancer Nurses , My Family , and Friends and my strong mind ..
so today is pink wig and marshmallow day , it's going to be fun fun fun .. I'm throwing a party to help raise money for breast cancer research and to give thanks to everyone who has supported me ,
all my bc sister who i have cried for .. and i love dearly ..
you are all in my thoughts always

Hi gwende, I'm pretty new here and I read your first post, it gave me goosebumps. Cancer is such an evil disease, my grandfather died from it only months after he was diagnosed with it. You are a miracle and you have a very strong will, you are blessed. I wish you the best.      Alex
