GU Revisited - Deep Dish - GU025 - TORONTO!!!!!!!

It was officially done, well the CLUB gig was done at the Guvernment Nightclub (so many asian sketchpads!) on December 14th.2002. I never made it to this amazing, I was on the guest list! but came down with a horrible case of the stomach flu, that nearly put me in the ICU. The really sad thing about the entire gig was that I went to see Tiesto at Koolhaus (sister club, attached to the Guv) a week earlier. He had played a blinder on Oct 5th.2001 and I thought it would have been better but it was terrible and I nearly got kicked out for booing him for playing his subpar own mix of Tears From The Moon rather than the amazing Hybrid Mix, which is a story for another day!. I came down with the stomach flu and ended up losing 20-25 pounds and nearly ended up in hospital on the 11th day.

Another funny story, Aalacho was a right twat and tosser from California and he hates me and wants me dead to this day. I reviewed his album, which was a right pile of toss (actually I believe its still on ivibes.nu, if you search for his name). It was one of my best ramblings and he was ssssssoooooooooooooooooo mad at his PR people for my review :thumbsup:

. We were going to do an interview where I went at him and him at me....but I quit ivibes.nu because it was toss and I had a job and money to waste :lol:

Anyway, the only version that matters here is the 4CD special one. The only diff from cd 1 and 2 from the NON special version was lets get ill, I believe they did not clear the sample in time or some shit like that. Its great value for the money for 4 CDs.

Best tracks for this one can be argued, I love the Watkins AM (KU Mix) or the You Are Sleeping! among others. The output was better than GU021 (4CDs vs. 2CDs) but GU021 has the stronger tracks.

I miss the old (NON techno) Deep Dish when they had that roster of talent and tracks from

Morel
PQM was a New Yorker and they got his tracks first

and Deep Dish had amazing remixes and tracks...

why 4 tracklists? i wonder?

this was a fantastic issue of GU, loved it as much as Moscow one, i think i got them at the same time, if not mistaken... a bit weaker than 21st, i agree on that, Diamond life was done for some weird beginning, was surprised... but all in all - fantastic issue!
