music nowadays

in this topic we can discuss what the music nowadays is.
ill start

last years ppl like alot of minimal.thats the reason most of the big guns started playing such stuff - mnml electro tech-house.but there are also some great djs which combine mnml with progressive and the outcome is a great style.. those are Ogi Gee Cash & Synchronized, 16 bit lolitas, guy gerber, one+one and others..
my dj/producing style is like this..Progressive, Techy, Mnmlistik.But the progressive is the leading genre!
what do u think?

i think all this is just to confuse the uploader when select genre to upload set

    That's true! Well i'm sticky to the argentinian progressive sound (but not Cattaneo's nowadays...but still listening him).Beside them i love deep/dark progressive played by Locandon,Hyline,Taucher,d-phrag,etc. Ilove other genres too, like breaks(Hybrid r the ones),electro,tech. I've had enough minimal.Too much of it nowadays slipped into almost every genre.

seriously, i like things straight, when its tribal, its tribal, when its prog, it is, techno should be bangin, mnml for the gays, trance for schoolgirls, etc. i dont wanna beer with shopska salata nor girlfriend with moustache and beard (not to say one more thing)

nah, u shouldnt think like this.sometimes combinations are really great.a set should be like a trip.beginning more minimalistik, then more techy proggy, finished more dynamic.. u see - u dont like a girlfriend with moustache and beard.. but u like it big melons and a nice ass, dont u

and trance isnt for girls ..u dont like it maybe but its good music

sorry, i meant todays cheesy trance, not the good old one you know

it's never about trance vs house.. it's always about trance lovers being upset by house fans not loving trance.

anyways... to stay in topic, i stopped following nowadays main music a year or two ago... i listen to local tm talents and tm radio, sometimes something from 'famous', but infamous are better.. what i'm saying is.. isn't it you yourself who chooses what music to listen to, which djs to take as influences, etc... especially in such cultivated liveset community here, where 4 or 5 people will simultaneously listen to all new music coming through here every day, and still they won't hear everything, so you alone having 10-20 times more music to choose from, than you might have time to listen to, - it's all in your hands..

of course if you're trying to make it bling-bling...  then of course.... well...

ps.. i learned my first english words when i was in 5th grade, like 11 years old.. 16 years later i find out that nowdays is spelled with "a" after "w", as nowAdays.. thanks, nn!! really.. every day something new.

I like from jungle/dnb/breaks/trance/prog/tribal. Basically all, and I don't get upset when someone doesn't like what I'm into. Its all good in the hood.

thats how it is for me too , it would be great to have all the tm djs at a TM  festival .. dreams ..  

right, im into most of the TM radio/tracker djs but im still trying not to miss the big names and the rising stars (garcia, mariano, kintar and rex, etc..) but dunno how long i can manage to handle this situation and will kick off all the famous names which keep annoying me

I listen to anything that's good. It can be minimal, trance or tribal. I personally like Tribal / Progressive the best but its getting harder and harder to find that sort of music. I think we will have more and more Hybrids as the music progresses, I personally like Hybrids sometimes. I try and make my own sets whenever I can since I listen to like 3 hours of music each day in the car and the bus.
