Sasha & John Digweed versus Armin Van Buuren

i wanted to post these thoughts of mine a long time ago, but got distracted and forgot. today i remember again and will write it down... =)

Armin Van Buuren and his State of Trance show has been topping the e-browser's popularity stats for long time with the first ever torrent to reach 1000 snatches. it has been going on for 3-4 months, that that torrent was the only one to be over 1000 as well. and finally (at least for me it's finally) a new torrent comes in that takes away the highest snatches from AVB - it's Sasha and John Digweed together at the wmc.. oh my god... it takes such a famous and wonderful duo to overcome world's voted best dj? really weird... =)

on the other hand, AVB has been 1st by average popularity rating for quite a few months now and isn't going to change, i think, - too much ahead of others... he's the only dj to be in overall top 10 averages, not to mention that he leads that top10... and just recently he's really approached Hernan Cattaneo in the total popularity ratings, promising to step HC over in no time and head for John Digweed, who's not too much ahead right now, maybe by 1000 points.. so soon we might witness a Global van BUUREN domination on tribalmixes dot com. =)

ps. i'm not saying this to bring avb down, this is simply the info i wanted to share with everyone.

my opinion:
digweed & sasha are making 100000000 of people around the world happy since ages.armin van buuren is much younger and he has a big feature.but for me the old grandmasters are much better and thats not becoz i dont like trance.its hard to compare djs that are totally different style.

Armin van Buuren is not only a great DJ and producer.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the next DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs Poll.

As a crowd mover and producer hes just mesmerizing. Im sure he'll become the dj mag #1 dj this year, it shouldnt be hard to push paul van dyke out the way lol... Ide vote but you gotta pay to do it i think.

Comparing Armin to Digweed is like comparing a Ferrari to a nice old cadillac... both are spectacular in thier own ways and are different in every way, aside from having 4 wheels on the road. Everything about them just strikes a tune with completely different listeners.

Now probably the ferrari will rise to the top gaining all the popularity for being so new and flashy... but the Caddy has a distiguished following that doesnt rein in popularity but in numbers of the fans who have appreciated it in the long run.

i think armin and trance has exploded but is in no way overtaking the foundation of stars that built house music... but i will support AvB rise to the top because thats what i feel when i listen to the beats and melodys..

Ok i don't like trance thats y i don't like Armin Van Buuren but he is popular and i can't say anything on him coz he have his fans exactly as Lostwarith said it's like a comparison between brand New Ferrari and and Old caddy so the comparesion is really hard but in my sight i think that Digweed and sasha are my Fav and i will give my votes for them

but i can see now that the majority of users are listening to trance thats why i am not surprised to see a 1000 snatcher on a trance set especially for the No. 1 Trance Dj .
