whats the best mixing software?

Me personally i like reason 3.0 But have yet to learn it..A dj named juju recommended logic its only for mac.. and junkie xl sticks to mac and he uses software such as absinth.(i think i spelled it right) But these guys are pros so i wouldn't start out on these programs...As for reason, I dont even understand .midi not sure what it is. Recommendations please. :-D

great thread thanx bocaccio coz i ned to know how to mix coz i need to cut some trackes and mix em for me and make em in one set to make an awsome set for me instead of having tracks or complete sets i want to make 1 long set with all my best tracks i want to know the easisest one and alos the best :thumbsup:

virtual dj is quite good and simple to use. just put tunes in and mix & record the set.

you can even let it mix automatically in virtual dj, i am sure you won't stay infront of ur computer 10 hours recording

also there is ableton live, if you can use that :wink:

i ve got this ableton thing and it's sooooo difficult in use and i understand nothing from it and virtual dj make the mixes awful it just make the volume of the first track get down and higher the seconed one :whistle:

Here this whole time i was trying to find reason...well i found it and the tutorial video and now im told its only for production :'-(

no no no..ableton is for mixing too! there is even a tutorial in it for how to dj with ableton! yea sure, when it was made at first it wasn't intended for mixing, but dj's like sasha found it great for mixing (as well as producing) and now its for mixing too..
