u have to specify u r question do u mean by strong  strong in ecnomic or weapons or popularity or culture or wat do u mean coz if u say in genral  i think that America won this round but if it complete in this losing wars ofcourse it will be China  there things alot of ppl don't know about china and all of there wepons and by the way China got the most powerfull economy in the whole wide world

China is a coming monster, don't forget that China, Cuba, Vietnam and North Korea are the only countries which are still under communism governing

anyway, the question is very easy, the U.S. ofcourse rules everything, even if there's something they are not capable of maybe cause they dont have it, they just control it using policy and other pressure methods .. the UN is american, the movies are american, the food is american, everything is american .. they dont allow Japan to share much markets cause they know they can overtake any market they are in, Japan already overtaken much markets in the U.S. itself !! .. also they dont allow Japan to create any kind of weapons (except light weapons) cause they know also that Japan has the ability to invent much hi-tec weapons which the U.S. can never accept their existance !!

actually US is nowhere as strong as every1 thinks it is...yeah they control lot's stuff, yeah they are involved in almost every market there is in the world, but as a result of all that involvement they are becoming increasingly weak, it's just a Q of simple economics, there are almost none (zero) US Based manufactures...all the big manufactures have been grafdually shipped-off out of US territory to "save money", by paying very lil' to workers where the minimun wage is just tiny, but in the bigger picture...america is just taking more than it gives...(manufacturing huge ammounts, and not using them all) US is well known for this "where everythin is big, cars are huge, food is wasted...etc", by buying more than it's sold an economic deficit is being created... one sooo big that no other nation in the world or as a matter of fact...in history...has had before...
US deficit is $8,536,151,044,030.97 can you even glance how gigantic that figure is? ecomic experts expect the US never to recover...this doesnt mean that US is simply gonna dissapear...it just means that the US is gonna own so much money (already is) that repaying such ammount of money is out of the Question, there simply aren't the resources needed to reapy this, specially when money is being spent on other areas eg. "fighting terrorism", making better weapons, "rebuilding" nations...building an international space station..
Us is just becoming like a big "company" ready for a complete takeover, and this takeover is just gonna come from the well funded "companies" eg. china, japan...etc. (don't believe me? where is everything being made? china rings a bell?) the big picture is other that not many ppl see...US is not as strong as others might think...again this isnt just me sayin "oh, no the US is gonna dissapear!!" it just isn't gonna be strong forever (every great empire falls) all of this that is hapenning is the result of wrong decisions made even before i was borned as a matter of fact before many of us were borned..
Economists have studied this for quite a while now and they have concluded that The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.74 billion per day since September 30, 2005! so just add the numbers...

that's very true .. Roman Empire lasted for 1000 years, Islamic Empire lasted for nearly 1400 years, but in the end ?? they just disappeared whatever were the reasons cause always there must be some reasons, it's just a matter of time

powerfull or not....i dont think id like to live in the most powerful country...too much for me. maybe a smaller country or an island like belize..my wife is from there. i think their independent but they have the queen on their currency. nice ppl too. americans arent as friendly as island ppl.
