the story is, last year, maybe even year and a half, i've been going through constant fixing of this and that on my car, it's a honda accord 96 lx coupe 2.2L. some time ago i've had that idea to hook it up, put gound kit, some spoiler, rims etc, maybe even wide body.. but over the time things keep breaking, and i have to keep fixing them. i've had this car for 3 years, have put about 100k miles in it, but i love my car, i just love it! and i'm finally back on the road! i mean, all this time something new was failing every time, so i couldn't really punch and rev up my car as i wanted. so no visual upgrades were made, but the inside (that counts). i'm keepin gthis car no matter what mechanics say, this is my baby and i'll be driving it to the end, even that the engine is perfect, never failed.
all the inside upgrades are bounded by air intake, loudest muffler in chicago and this new stage one clutch i've put it, which gives 90% more torque when shifting gears (it's that wonderful, i can really feel my car pushing forward when switching from 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 3rd gear, but before it would just keep accelerating with constant pace). i'm so excited...
anyways, now i'm flying again, i've forgotten when was the last time i drove over 70mph - so dangerous it was, now 70 is my regular speed, going over 100 easily not even feeling it.. this month of july has sucked about $1.5k for repairs out of me... but i'm sure this is the last repair for a long period.. and yeah, i just need a set of new tires... that's it, that's the story... :)
ps. i do want to go racing one day, but my car isn't even close to an average racing car.. i've happened to beat much better faster cars then mine, but it's all because of the vast experience i have driving, again it's a stick shift, gives you more power, still with all upgrades i doubt my car went much over 200hp from it's original 160hp factory based release.. yeah, so an experienced driver on a slower car can beat a faster car with an unexperienced driver.. people who start off spinning their tires don't know how to race.. all these movie tricks with lots of tire-spun on starts are all fake.. a real good racer will never spin tires, unless it's needed for something..
pps i'm flying again.. :)
